I think on a paneled door, it looks weird to put the pull on the panel - and is illogical when you think about how traditional doors are built and why they have panels floating in a frame. But with Skinny Shaker, you have to do it, since the rails and stiles are too narrow to mount the handle on. Anyway Skinny Shaker is inherently kind of illogical, so whatever.

I like pulls in proportion to cabinets so like this but with those doors I think I would look at finger pulls I cannot imagine the pulls lasting on the panels for sure without some sort of block at the back.

Thoughts:

- I think it's important to keep a pull moderate in size on a Shaker door. While I like the concept of an over-sized pull, I don't think it "works" on Shaker.

- I do think the pull belong on the rails of a Shaker door /never on the panel.

- Skinny rail Shakers don't seem to work with pulls at all. I'd vote for having a finger-pull carved out of the back ... go with no pulls.
