Turning over a new (rose) leaf

It's been years since I posted here, I used to be extremely active on the site and obsessive about my gardening. The past few years have proven to be filled with difficulty but more importantly, growth. I had chipped away tiny pieces of myself for my ex-partner and started abandoning the things I loved most.
While the divorce was challenging, one of the major pain points was leaving the beautiful, painstakingly-curated gardens I had loved for 8 years. I sobbed for those gardens and my roses I so adored. I couldn't bring any with me as I moved into an apartment.
But in that pain came a determination to rebuild my life, a life of my own choosing. I dropped the dead weight of my ex, got a new job that I am thriving in, bought my own house all by myself, and started dating an incredible man.
This year is going to be the first (full) year in my new home. As last year I moved in July and by that time, with everything going on, the garden was not my biggest priority.
To inaugurate my new home and garden I am starting with my all time favorite rose, Mme Plantier. I'm planting her some friends including Queen of Sweden, Earth Angel, Tiffany, and Dee Lish.
I cannot wait for the changes and growth this year brings ❤️ I'll be surely more active in the site, sharing my progress photos, and tuning in to get inspiration from you all and encourage others in their gardening journeys.
