For those who use Farrow and Ball..??
Comments (5)I have never used F&B whites, but I have used Pale Powder, Radicchio, Blue Ground, Red Earth, and Teresa's Green. I always paint at least one foam core board completely with 2 coats from the sample can of the color that I'm considering. Then I move the board around the room and leave it in various parts of the room so that I can see how the color behaves at different times of the day. Even then, I do not get the entire color experience, but I have never been disappointed in the result. I've not tried large swatch cards--didn't realize they had them. I order my samples over the phone. In my house, lots of F&B colors go green; and some seemingly subtle ones go rather minty, so green is an issue, if that's not what you want....See MoreBest Ceiling Paint for Farrow & Ball, BM Aura
Comments (11)I just primed, and painted my ceiling with Farrow & Ball primer, and Wimborne White in the Estate Emulsion. It's a nightmare. It's flashing after a third top coat. The primer went on beautifully, and looked better than the Estate Emulsion. At this point, I don't know what to do. I'm considering the BM Waterborne paint, but I've read that flashes, too. Any thoughts anyone? For my time, and money, I definitely won't be using Farrow & Ball on a ceiling again. I'm hoping a professional painter can salvage the Blazer Red, I've put on the walls. So far Farrow and Ball for me has been a huge disappointment....See MoreCan paint pads be used with Farrow & Ball paints?
Comments (1)I used a paint pad corner gadget to paint my powder room yesterday in F & B Red Earth. Worked great, although I did not try it on a larger section of wall....See MoreAnyone have any pictures of Farrow and Ball Fawn?
Comments (13)Thank you!! I'm looking for a good neutral, not gold, not a lot of green since my countertop has a good amount. Kind of like that Martha Stewart color that she uses a lot. I have Wedgewood drabware and I thought a wall color similar to that, but not too dark would work. That way I can pop my color in other ways around the room. My other color in the running is Crown Point Sand by BM. But on my walls during the day it looks very gold/green. I love it at night. The way you describe fawn sounds great, although I don't see a smidge of yellow in my wall sample. I painted a 2x4 and move it around the room. Very nice color. These aren't the best pictures. We will paint the backsplash and all the wall. Money is tight so backsplash is on hold for a bit. My chairs in the living room are a silver sage type of color and the rug has green, sage, brown and blue in it. The table in the kitchen is from the patio, just wanted to see if that size works. Eventually we'll get a dark round wood table ane new chairs. And window treatments! Granite is Costa Esmeralda You've been so helpful. Thank you!
