Help with placing Miss Bateman and Niobe Clematis

last month

Hello, I purchased a bag with two Miss Bateman and two Niobe clematis at Costco. I have a limite amount of places to put them, since we downsized a few years ago. I do have some large 6' tall flat trellises that I can place in the ground. If anyone were to give me advice on placement, which side of the house would you choose? I realize that they need a fair amount of light to grow, and like to have their roots stay cool. I currently have only one clematis plant, Cardinal Wyszynski. It is not my favorite color, unfortunately. I planted it on the south side of our house and I really think it is too hot there. The color fades out quickly to an ugly purple red which I am not fond of. I do have eastern and western exposures to consider when placing these new plants. The eastern exposure would have about 4-5 hours of sun in the summer in the morning. The western exposure would have 6-7 hours of pretty intense sun in the summer. Tomatoes do well over on that side. Any particular information that anyone knows, both good and negative would also be helpful about these two clematis. I can always return them as they are unopened if they are not reliable and good, pretty choices. Thank you!!
