Furniture Layout help?
Comments (6)I'm terrible with layouts, but I wanted to thank you for the link to that mantle mount!! I've never heard of that. We've never mounted our TV above the mantle because it's not ergonomic, but placing it on a different wall has limited our layouts. But, our TV is on a mount that pulls out and swivels, and my husband doesn't like us to move it at all because he's worried we'll "bend" the TV itself. I don't know if he'd be up for trying this mount, which would be moved daily. My sofa has that exact fabric, too. I love it. I can say that we have one sofa and two chairs in our family room (where our TV is), and one sofa, two chairs in our formal living room. In the FR, I'm happy with the sofa and chairs, but in the LR, I wish we had a sofa and loveseat, plus one or two chairs....See MoreRenovate Great Room in southwest style. Furniture layout & guidance.
Comments (1)Congratulations on your new home! Does the entertainment unit come with the house? The fireplace is interesting, it seems big and heavy, the opening looks a bit tiny. A few things: this fireplace issue will be a costly change. Do you have a list of items you wish to do? I recommend moving in and taking time with changes. Live in the house for a while before you do anything radical. You will likely need an architect and/or a great general contractor. Good luck to you, I hope it all turns out exactly how you wish!...See MoreHELP! Furniture Layout for Basement Living Room with Fireplace and TV?
Comments (5)Great ideas @havingfun! Thank You! It's funny, we started physically moving some things around down there, and I'm starting to think the TV should indeed go on the far wall. I'm just worried about it creating a black hole at the end of this long room. Are you suggesting dividing the room into two sections? Like a TV section and a fireplace section? "face couch or appropriate chairs towards the tv. appropriate chairs or couch to fireplace" and then a rug in each section? I like Bohemian, vintage, rustic, industrial styles I think. I liked the first and third rug you suggested. Maybe light bright rugs and warm darker furniture? We really like the idea of leather sofa/s, like the kind with the nailheads. We have cats and friends, so any anti-stain, non-fur grabbing furniture is what we are looking for....See Moreplease help with the furniture layout before we buy new furniture
Comments (5)The sectional looks better than others. I advise you to make it like this. Moreover, for your room, you can take vintage furniture. It will make your room richer. When I moved to my new house a year ago, I noticed that something was not reaching the living room. After a time, I decided to change the furniture and I opted for a vintage one. After changes, the living room looks better, more colorful and this type of furniture gives unusual magic to the room. If you want to find more about vintage, look on osvaldoantiguidades, from there we bought our furniture....See MoreRelated Professionals
