It’s hard to tell just how deep it is. 4’? 5’? And how wide? . If it’s not at least 4’ wide, I don’t think it can be a walk-in.

If it’s going to be useable, you’re going to need lots of lighting. Plan for that first.

Do you need space for hanging clothes? Shelving for sweaters and the like? Is it a linen closet? Or is this near the kitchen and you will use it as a pantry?

4.5 ft deep and about 4.6 ft wide. It would be a walk-in closet for hanging space. Maybe if there is any space for shelves that would be a great addition but hanging is definitely the priority (we have a dresser for some folded clothes)

If you’re trying to make it walk-in with the walk-in part on the left and a rod on the right, a hanger on a rod usually takes 2’, which leaves only 2.6’ for space in which to stand. That would be just about enough for me (5’2” and 145 pounds) but I’m not sure my hubby could fit (5’9” and 275 pounds).

This is placing the rod as far to the right as possible, which would make the rod only 3’ or so above the floor. Good for hanging shirts and folded-over slacks. Nothing full-length.

So, are children using this closet or adults? If adults, you’ll need to consider exactly how adult-sized they are.

Frankly, I’m not sure this is going to work.

Best solution would be pull out drawers ( those types for under the stairs) very useful for shoes and whatever you want there.
