Too much blue? Rug choice for boys room.
Comments (11)I found this quilt that has a minecraft vibe and I think would look great with the walls, and it could age with him. The bedroom isn't huge though, 10.5'x14.5' so I wonder if the black will be too dark? The room gets tons of light, but I can't decide if the bedspread would make the bed seem like a black hole or not. He wants this one, which I do think is cute, but not so timeless: Either way I could se them with some minecraft wall art or decals: Then some decorative storage like this cube organizer: I'm not one to decorate, shop a lot or change things up much, so the main elements of a room need to be able to stand the test of time. He's begging for minecraft stuff right now, but 6 months ago it was pac-man....See MoreBoys room / guest room
Comments (4)Keep everything simple. Stream lined furniture. You can get a rug for between the beds for your boys, then pick it up and store when you leave. I wouldn’t worry about pictures. The previous owner didn’t have any. I wouldn’t want drapes for the boys, but you could put similar inexpensive shears for the guests. If you want to push the beds together, then I guess no headboard. I think bedding is what makes a room. I like your choice....See MoreDecorating help for boy’s room
Comments (10)Something about the skateboards bother me. I would stagger them on the wall above the bed. I like the yellow throw, but not so much the duvet. I agree that it needs more stuffing. Put the gray pillows behind the shams, and add one throw pillow to pull in the other colors of the room. I agree that a couple of posters on the surfboard wall would be nice....See MoreDesperately in need of turning little boy room into young woman room.
Comments (1)I would go with with shades of white and grey (since the carpet is grey) - I’d paint the walls and ceiling a nice warm white - painting everything the same color will help calm down all angles see if you can fit a full sized bed in the alcove and invest in nice linens - I’d replace the navy curtain with something in a softer color will the desk stay? eta - i would also try to change the color of the lime green doors - not sure what that is made of but if paint would be tough then i would get creative (maybe adhesive shelf liner?)...See MoreRelated Professionals
