Guest Bedroom Help
Comments (7)The current arrangement does not appear to be the ideal solution. It looks like the bed and nightstand were just shoved aside to clean under the bed. If you are going to keep the bed angled, getting a round nightstand would be better than a square one. Since this is a guest, room one of the wide dressers could be eliminated and the bed placed on the big wall where the dresser now sits. I do realize that guest room dressers are often used for out of season storage so maybe you prefer to have two dressers and need them. In that case I would put drapes on the windows and put the bed in front of the window. The drapes would form a nice backdrop when closed and since the headboard is low the light and view would not be hidden when they are opened. This can look very nice. In fact some people even put up drapes behind the bed to give the illusion of a window where none exists. With a new furniture arrangement, I would put the lamp from the tall dresser on the nightstand and eliminate the two floor lamps by the bed. A lamp on a night stand is easier for someone to use while in bed and the floor lamps look a bit cluttery next to the bed. Put one of the floor lamps next to the chair and use the other one in another room. You have a very pretty room and I love your mix of furniture styles without going all "Shabby Chic" overload. I love your bold choice of wall color too....See MoreGuest Bedroom Inspriration help, pics
Comments (2)I love your son's bathroom Elaine. Gorgeous, yet masculine. I bet he likes it too. By the pictures you posted it looks as though the bedding would look great with the wall color. One can never tell for sure until you have the bedding at home in your lighting. Since there's multiple shade of grays in the bedding there's a good chance it will work. If the colors are right, it's going to look beautiful! ~Becky...See MoreBland bedroom needs help
Comments (15)Our design style is best described as Cape Cod meets Coastal Modern. Lots of crisp white & light gray with warm woods & aqua accents. The 2 longest walls are both angled, so there is no wall directly facing the tv. I love symmetry so it drives me a bit crazy. We tried the bed on the wall facing the window and didn’t like it. We normally have a chair next to the dresser that my high school daughter commandeered for her digital classroom but here’s a photo of what it normally looks like. Totally agree about the artwork. These are all of the random extra pieces that I didn’t want anywhere else. Given the sloped ceiling & angled walls, I struggle with what to put on the long wall. A huge piece? Should I leave it blank? I know I need a bigger lamp, but that means buying a bigger nightstand I think. Both are cast off‘s from my daughter’s childhood bedroom and it shows. I hate the bedframe but replacing it would be such a hassle. Can I get a big king bedspread and cover it up the footboard?...See MoreGuest Bedroom Help
