Refrigerator and Freezer located next to each other

I have a fridge column and a freezer column sxs with a built in kit I do not know why you could not do what you plan but the doors of the french doo fridge might have some issues . Make sure the pieces are fom the same maker the same height, depth and finish to make it work . Not sure I would try it but if you n eed to do it make sure it can function. I think the heights might be the issue , I agree a cabinet layout above can make it look more intentional. I usaully try to find a space somhere else for clients who need more freezer space .FYI this is my layout for both columns and I run a ctering biz from my home and this works just fine for me . We all have different needs for sure .

Comments (4)I'm not sure what you are asking but I have a corner prep sink. To the right I have an 18" trash pull-out and to the left I have a 24" undercounter microwave. The spacing works well for me. however in your case the only thing I would be careful of is to make sure that you do some sort of cupboard between the sink and DW which your picture does show. Are you asking if you can take that cabinet out? I would not because the DW door would be opening right into the back of your knees and you wouldn't have any turning space at all to get into the DW....See Morerefrig and double oven next to each other
Comments (11)I've had it that way for several years and it works fine. Mostly it's due to the overall layout - I only have one corner in my kitchen (there is a walk way at each "corner". My fridge is sxs so doors swing both ways. Have about 4" extra inches between, so the fridge door won't hit the oven handles unless someone really pushed the fridge door back farther than it naturally goes. I have a small island in front of the appliances, and it works great as a landing are for both - and I have the ends of the counters on the adjacent walls. I have no counter space on the wall that the fridge and ovens are on. What I love most about this arrangement is that we recessed the opening 2' into the room behind, so it appears the wall oven, fridge and pantry are built into the back wall of the kitchen, and don't stick out into the room. Comments (0)I ordered the newest version of these units and need to know where the electrician should put the outlet for these units. I called Electrolux and they were not helpful. Also should they each have their own individual outlet or can they be plugged into the same dual outlet? Any idea how long the cord is? Comments (12)Typo on the grades I listed, 302 not 392. My personal opinion on SS: -refrigerator/microwave:doesn't matter, limited chemicals in contact -range: probably doesn't matter; more chemicals employed in keeping clean -dishwasher/washer/dryer: presence of bleach and detergent makes better grades a plus for long term ease of retaining appearance; not sure it matters for all brands since the internal mechanicals of select brands will be shot long before the exterior finish is compromised; in commercial versions 201, 301, 302, and 304 dominate; 316 had in roads on commercial dishwashers 20-25 yrs ago...See MoreRelated Professionals

last monthlast modified: last monthUnless they are the same brand/style or will be panelled, I’d wouldn’t place next to each other. Their combined size will really draw the eye so it‘s important they work well together, otherwise I’d separate them. Imagine a freezer below.
PROlast monthIf you have enough space to swing the door of the freezer, you don't need a French Door refrigerator. Frigidaire offers the most economical units on the market.
