Kitchen trim damage

Thoughts on how to fix this? Had kitchen remodel done & contractor installed 3k panels on freezer/refrigerator to left of this corner. He then opened it up and damaged the door apparently forgetting about the trim to the right of it. He decided to cut the trim then left it like this, and says this trim has been discontinued and its our problem now.

Thoughts on how to fix this eye sore?

My bathroom has a similar chair rail on top of beadboard. I had an area that needed to be eased a bit (softened)...so my contractor sanded it a bit and painted it. That's what I would recommend. Probably can't see it in this photo.....I hate how HOUZZ photos don't enlarge bigger. It's joke.

the other only grew up maybe 2.5 feet or so? Not what we were going for. ===>>> if it lived.. then you win on that one... but you have to get over having expectations of it not growing fast enough ... it can take up to 3 years.. for a new planting to grow the roots to start growing explosively .... you problem in regard to this one.. is not the plant.. but your high expectations ... who knows why the other died ... lets claim it was poor stock.. lol ... any chance at a pic on the boxwoods??? but again.. they are alive ... you had a 100 year storm.. stuff happens .... you cant really attribute a hurricane to your black thumb???? did you do the scratch test??? see below ... the first lesson to learn on your way to a green thumb ... if it lives.. good enough ... second rule set aside 'your' expectations.. and let a living plant do its thing ... third rule once you establish that a branch is dead.. remove it PROPERLY .... I agree with Alan . Do not cut anything off your tree just yet . WAIT !!! Lemons are particularly cold sensitive . You may want to keep this plant in a container so it can spend the coldest days in a garage . Pruning an in ground citrus is usually only needed if the branches hang so low they are in the way of your lawn mower , the branches are crossing and rubbing , the tree is so tall that it could be topped to make picking easier - like 20 feet tall - or if you want to shape the tree just for fun . Any pruning will result in a smaller yield although picking off blossoms or small fruit allows the remaining fruit to become much larger than if you had done nothing . What Handymac says. Before you do that, clean thoroughly. To get a preview of what it will look like with varnish added, wipe with a mineral spirits (paint thinner) dampened pad. This will give you a good idea of what it will look like with just a top coat. You can then decide if you need to do any color work.

@dani_m08 we have been mediating for 2 years trying to get panels that are not warped, damaged, etc. Cabinets (Ultracraft) were garbage and we clearly got the B install team from this kitchen design studio in CT. Worst part was the way the designer handled it (or didn’t). The replacements are supposed to be shipped to us finally in the next few weeks, with a small check towards install with a new contractor.

Are you near Cincy Ohio? I know of a finish repair company....you'll never see the repair. they are truly unbelievable!

The company that I use is basically a Furniture and Antique restoration company. I'm sure you have those in CT too! Here's one. You need to find out if they can do color match touch ups on painted product. The Ohio company typically costs $100-$200 for a touch up. Which isn't bad considering the panels are thousands $ and the labor adds even more.

Very easy fix, you can find this trim, and when someone repairs it, ask them to add a return on both, the ledge piece and the trim flush with the corner it will add more detail and a nice finish, something like this

Take photos of the trim and go to your local lumber supply warehouse, not big box store.

I’m not able to write the words I’m calling this guy but we will leave it at lazy. Yes go to the local real hardware stores. My shop has their two usual moulding vendors and a couple backups. But worst case I could run this up with a router and a table saw on hobbiest level tools- he’s just being lazy ‘not my job’

Yes @HALLETT & Co. and @chispa as they mentioned, will be better if you take the molding out it's only a few pieces just gently pry them out (have to replace them anyway) and bring it with you they will match something up for you.
