how big a pot should I use
Comments (3)1. Your plant seems pretty small for a 20 gallon pot. I would move it up gradually, no more than a 10 gallon for now. 2. I like MiracleGro soil. It does hold a fair amount of water, so water VERY sparingly in the winter. 3. Full sun is fine, preferred, actually. Just be sure to water on hot, sunny days. In zone 4, you're gonna need all the heat and light you can get! 4. A daily fertilizer seems a bit extreme unless you are using a very week solution. I would follow the label on your product, maybe go just a tad stronger if it's hot and sunny out....See MoreInteresting accent piece or not so much?
Comments (24)While I love the shape, I would paint it black since it isn't in the perfect condition you're wanting~this would help balance out the piano. I've used vintage French dressers as night stands~nightstands are way too small as well as too low for my bed. Besides, the function is no different than a nightstand, just more spacious. I could definitely see more black in the room~have you considered an area rug w/black background? Black lampshades, changing out the white vases for black, the balls in the glass compote to black, and a black/ gold frame on the mirror would all be ways in helping balance out the space with re:to the black if used it thruout the room. Don't change out the pillows unless you can find a print w/black~I think a solid would be too heavy looking. I would also paint the interior of the front door black~it would make a huge difference....See MorePlease help...how big should the gap be between range and cabinet
Comments (17)Like everyone above says, the cabs should be tight to the range. Our kitchen cabs are within 1/8" of the range on each side and the granite is flush. However, it is possible that your cabinet maker really does mean 1.5 inches ... because that did happen to us recently with a new build townhome we bought. Never occurred to me in a million years that this was even possible, but here that's what the builder actually gave us and then tried to pass off as 'standard' in our PDI. Needless to say I threw a complete and total hissy fit lol, and they did come back and add filler panels in the days after we closed. I'll show you pics of it with the gap so you can see just how completely ridiculous it looks. Here's our home kitchen and what the flush cabs should look like: And here's our townhouse kitchen when at closing. Whatever you do, ensure your cabinet maker does not copy this look. :-)...See MoreTub Shower Combo - accent tile strip; How big?
