Looking for Constructive Feedback on My Mid-Century Modern Living Room

I’d love some feedback on styling my mid-century modern/scandi living room. As shown in the pictures, there’s an open space to the left of the seating area, beneath the Guernica painting. I recently added the console under the painting, but now it feels off—its proportions don’t seem to complement the artwork, and the room’s balance feels disrupted.

I’m considering removing the console altogether unless there’s a way to make it work. Initially, I envisioned placing two chairs on either side since the console has a built-in mini bar. I also like the existing black-and-white theme with a touch of cognac but would love to introduce a bright teal blue—I’m just unsure how to do it effectively.

Any suggestions or ideas would be greatly appreciated!
