I have a kitchen table from Room & Board that has a white quartz top. It does occasionally stain with ink, pencil, colored pencil, etc. Normally I use a homemade cleaner with water, alcohol and blue dawn. It gets everything out for me. I did have one stain from the magnet on the back of my phone case which came in contact with water. I used bar keepers friend and it came right off. I am only left with a small mark that was on the table when it was delivered (we were out of the country and someone else received the table and didn’t say anything to the delivery men). It appears to be a small ink mark. We have been able to dull it slightly, but haven’t been successful at removing it. I will try the greased lightning suggested above, and maybe diluted bleach as a last resort.

Hi Lisa. Happy fourth. We just had calacatta lux installed five days ago. Love the look. The horror stories on Houzz however are frightening. Water beads as was promised on counter when they sealed but edge near sink discolored from droplets. It did fade away in about an hour. Have you had any problems or did you have any staining? How was it processed? Ours came the day after it was cut and hoping down the road I don’t experience the edge stains. Anything you can add is very helpful. Thank you again. Both these colors are made in china, but don't be totally taken back by that. The important thing with both brands is to check what sort of certifications each offer...there are many off brand Chinese quartz materials that do not have any certifications and may potentially have the issues that @mayflowers brought up above. I have worked with Titan Quartz many times for my clients kitchens (islands and countertops) and the calacatta venezia is a great option. This color is NSF, IAS, and SGC certified so I've been confident recommending it to my clients (plus it has a nice residential warranty).

Oh no the sparkle is definitely very subtle. In the 9x13 sample I have there are only a few of those sparkly flecks so its not very noticeable really unless the light hits it right. It’s not at all like those other “sparkle” quartzes. I had my heart set on it was so sad when I discovered it’s more off-white 😢 the Stonemark I assume is the same as the MSI Perla White (I feel like stonemark and msi must be the same company?) and I considered that too but up close it was just too cloudy looking, imo.
