Advice for placement of wall sconces in stairwell
Comments (12)I hope you do have some overhead lighting, and also those sconces would have too much lower, like the picture above to really be functional. Then comes projection, you need something that is fairly flush to the wall, the staircase in the picture is wider than yours with fewer turns. You will want to look at ADA compliant sconces they often have less projection....See Morehelp needed with use/placement of sconces by bed
Comments (12)Jill, sounds like you’re an artist so you must be creative/ crafty, yes? How about repurposing or up cycling the sconces since you haven’t found a place to use as is? Take both rings off & hang horizontally as part of wall arrangement or above that back door bench? Or use as is in an outdoor protected or covered area with solar candles? A Google search for repurposed wall candle sconces received some interesting results. BTW, I agree with the suggestion of lowering, just a bit, the art on wall with door but I don’t think the art over your bed is too big. The scale balances with headboard size. I don’t dislike the image of morroccan mirror over side table but I wouldn’t do it as detracts from art over bed, will be cluttered when you add lamps, the 2 side tables may be different sized so symmetrical look will be messed up & mostly will be just too cluttered & over decorated. I did like the blue throw over bed to add some color. All these different opinions is what makes things interesting & sparks new ideas!...See MoreHelp with sconce, outlet placement, and wall decor
Comments (4)What are the lights meant to highlight? If, say, bottles on the top rack, then I'd move the sconces up. But they risk being a lot of glare in your eyes. Change to brown or "nickel" outlets so that they disappear. The dark brown actually draws the eye, and outlets and covers come in many shades. See these on brown glass tile, for example. Copper might work on your wall....See MoreKitchen wall sconces placement question
Comments (10)I like those. Well we now have two holes for two sconces visually looks more even with two but I think they were Me too close together what can I do to now move them apart and still cover the holes that are there without having to sheet rock the whole wall I thought of adding a decorative molding or something to cover the hole now that we need to spread them apart a little like a couple of inches any suggestions would help...See MoreRelated Professionals
