I am also trying to decide between these two brands but have a few others in the running as well. I was fondling the knobs on them yesterday at TGI and noted these things for you to consider. HTH. Both have ball bearing slide out racks. Bosch has 1, Electrolux has 2. Both offer extra racks as an accessory purchase. Electrolux oven light has "fade" feature similar to dome lights on many new car interiors. The cobalt blue interior is nice, reminds me of enameled camp cookware. It also has hidden controls (they are calling it Wave Touch) which don't appear until you press something. Some people might like the clean look of this but I think it would bug me, at least until I got to know where every button is located on the thing. Bosch features a "fast preheat" button. This might be good as I hear many ovens with hidden elements take way longer to heat up. (I don't know how much faster it actually preheats compared to other ovens; any users got feedback on this?) It also has amber LCD touch controls and features a vent on the bottom (won't be blowing in the user's face). The ball bearing rack seems more cautious about speed of sliding than the Electrolux, but is equally responsive.

hvtech42: I agree with what you said about the swing, and I can also see why some would have an issue with opening from the left and essentially having to go around the door (unless open completely... which I would imagine you would do most of the time anyway). My current ovens are 13 yrs old. They are horrible. They don't seal properly, and the temp varies widely and - more troubling - inconsistently. I have had them serviced multiple times, but it seems nothing can be done. I honestly never know whether a dish will take an hour or 90 minutes. I cook extensively for family and entertain on a regular basis, so I am looking forward to a dependable oven.

If you are under warranty, they pay. If not, you pay and the new liner is only guaranteed a year. Wolf's response when asked about it is they never heard of it or it was a tiny problem fixed years ago. I have a dual fuel kitchen aid 30" oven...grey interior enamel (not blue), 4 years old. I noticed that the side walls of the drip ban at the bottom are totally "shattering" (looks like broken glass). The range is 4 years old. I was told I'm out of the 12 month manufacturer's warranty and I didn't buy an extended warranty (sounds like that wouldn't have helped, anyway?) and there is nothing they can do for me except place a call for service (which I would have to pay for). I took their offer of 20% off a new item (KitchenAid, Whirlpool, or Maytag as listed on their websites) or 15% off a sale item at the same three companies...because it seemed there was no other recourse. I spoke to two different departments (though didn't try the "Safety" department). I paid about 2K for this range. It's never really worked well. Takes about 25 min to preheat, calibration is often off, and the lower oven drawer (supposed to get up to 400) doesn't work well. I did call for a repair of the temperature sensor with 12 months of purchase...and it was replaced...but it's never really worked, and calibration is often off. I'm so discouraged... I don't know if I could get any farther even if I make a fuss or continue to call.... I won't purchase KitchenAid again...but it sounds like this happens with Whirlpool and GE, too? What about Maytag?
