More Daylily pics- This Time of Multiples, or Groups
Comments (10)For the first time ever the deer have found my Daylily garden. They have eaten every bud off a 50ft row. At least I have yours to enjoy. Thanks for the pics. In the past an electric fence has worked wonders on other parts of my property. I guess I'll have to extend it all the way to the front gardens....See More4400 Send a named daylily - get a named daylily
Comments (101)Thanks Canna for matching us up. Now I'll have to drive clear to Texas or somewhere just to find something Jo doesn't have!!! I think we need to know a couple of months in advance who we'll have so we can check out their lists and see what we can find. lol Canna, thanks for bringing us along on your trip today. I love to be the fly on the wall and I feel as though I was watching everything. You tell it good girl! I'm still laughing, read it aloud to DH and he was laughing too. Jo, you need to hush about Joanne's. If I go there I'd be divorced because I'd have to buy fabric AND garden goodies. I can't even afford to feed one hobby/habit at a time much less two. Pretty daffs Marea! I want more varieties every year. Jo, I'm waiting on those pics so hurry the bulbs along. Where's Anita? Haven't seen her lately! I went outside yesterday and poked around and found that I'm going to have lots more iris blooms than I first thought! Thank you Anita!!! I really didn't expect them to bloom this year so I'm tickled pink! Sharon, everybody needs a pink flamingo! lol It was always a big joke in my hometown and when my boss there built a huge new home on the lake one of his friends bought him some for house warming. Really funny! That makes me think of his female friend he was raised with who got married and sent out invitations to the wedding. Two years later she got a divorce, took the extra wedding invitations to the printer and had them print a divorce party announcement on the reverse side! Now who would have thought of that? oops, sorry that isn't about gardening! TTYL, Nancy...See More4800!!! Send a named daylily - get a named daylily
Comments (100)Canna, thanks for sharing your pics with us of the swap. I really enjoyed seeing Cheryl since I've traded with her and emailed with her several times. Looks like everyone had a great time, especially your little sweetie! Anita called me Friday night and I really enjoyed "meeting" her. We talked over an hour! Glad you're feeling some better Anita. I love hostas too. I have quite a few and even tho they are pretty common ones I really enjoy them. I checked out the ebay page for your friend G but all I saw was the picture of one hosta and no list. Maybe I didn't look at the right place? Can you steer me in the right direction? I'd love to join the swap this month but my daylilies are all too small or ya'll already have them so I'll have to grow some on and try to gather more before I can trade for daylilies. I know you all will have fun and it will be fun for me to see what everyone else gets. Joey, I NEED Baby for a playmate for Andy! They are just about the same size and would compliment each other well I'm sure since Andy is white. I too love the delphiniums. What a gorgeous color! Janet, when is your new grandbaby due? What is it gonna be? Either way I'm sure you'll spoil it! Melissa, how scarey! I'm sure glad they caught your imposters before they really ruined you guys credit and lives! That would be a horror story for sure. Ellen, have a good time at Nancy Ann's! I'm sure you will. It sounds like there's a lot of exciting stuff to keep you busy. You'll need a vacation when you get home! lol Hope everyone has a great night! Nancy...See Moreholy cow 5000! send a daylily - get a daylily
Comments (100)Hey Daylily Lovers, If no one has an objection, I will get a July swap together. If someone else is already planning something, by all means, do your's because I've never done this and will probably goof. Here's what I'm planning... A freedom swap. I thought we could trade daylilies that have the words red, white, or blue in them or are that color. I've never seen a true blue daylily but many have the word blue in it, an example would be Blueberries and Cream. There's not many true whites, so cream, light yellow etc. is acceptable. If you have one of each name or color that would be great, that's best, but if you only have 3 that have red, but no white or blue, that's okay too. You may send as many daylilies as you want, but you must send at least 3 different kinds hopefully to fit into a patriotic theme. Also check your buddies list for special wants and fulfill any that you can. Lets make this a special month for as many as we can. If you want to participate in the Freedom Swap, I will need to know by July 10th and will get everyone partnered up. I will send out individual e-mails giving all group members a chance to participate in case some are not checking the site. ALL boxes must be received by JULY 31st unless you have made prior arrangements with your partner. In the meantime, here's some photos of my daylilies. Budsnblooms...See MoreRelated Professionals
