The garage doors look like black holes, particularly in the first picture. I don't think the eaves need to be painted brown, either. There is nothing wrong with the style of the garage doors, so you don't need to replace them. Paint them a lighter color. Just make sure you know what kind of surface you're painting and prepare it properly so the paint doesn't peel off in six months (this happened to someone I know who used a pro). See if you can find a color for the garage door and eaves that goes with the existing siding. That way you could save yourself from having to paint the siding. I am not 100% sure about the colors since photos can be deceptive, but maybe BM Waynesboro Taupe 1544 is worth a try.

The shutters on the window to the left of your front door are incorrectly sized. If you're interested in improving the curb appeal of your house you should remove or replace them. For the door and siding you should be looking to use one of the colors in the brick (along the lines of what Beverly shows).

Good job on defining the front door - definitely looks like main entry with pretty door & stairs leading to it. I understand your husband’s wish to have the out buildings be the same color as house - prevents a patchwork look. The colors need to be al least somewhat related/ I wonder about a compromise - look at paint color on the sample strip & try colors on either side of it - they should be shades darker or lighter. The major paint brands have on line visualizers - upload your house picture & see what the color & trim combos look like. There might be enough of a difference to satisfy your wish to not haave a gray house & his wish to match the outbuildings. Any of the colors close to your outbuilding color should look great with light trim - I think I’d steer away from bright white & try a creamier shade of white. Especially if painting the deck lower walls with it. Bright white is blinding in summer sun & gets dirty too fast in messy winters. The house is nice framed by the 2 large trees - hope they make that deck a nice place to sit in summer. I hope you fill the flower beds around the stairs with pretty summer color.
