Not what do you wear, instead: How do you wear jewelry?
Comments (17)As I matter of fact I do wear jewelry differently at my 2 homes! I can't stand cold metal touching me so I don't wear necklaces in the winter (from Nov to about March) at my regular home. And I wear one particular pair of earring almost all winter because they dangle but not long enough to touch my skin. Some of the longer ones end up touching my neck from my scarves & bulky coat so I avoid those. It's crazy but cold metal just sends a chill right through me and makes me feel colder. Since it's warmer in HHI, I do wear necklaces & earrings and even bracelets. I usually bring a few down with me so that I can have some variety. One necklace at a time, if it's bold than the earrings are smaller. One bracelet at a time and it depends on my sleeve length. In both places, I occasionally wear rings when I remember them. Your comments about gold & blue reminds me that I have an 18k gold ring with a lapis lazuli stone. I should dig that out and start wearing it again....See MoreGift ideas 2025 (what? oops 2024)
Comments (211)I needed one more thing for my 16yr old DGS, who doesn't play football, and after watching videos I knew it would be fun for him and DS1. It arrives deflated so I bought an air pump for balls. Passback Official Composite Football, Ages 14+ Video below...See MoreWhat to Wear January 2025
Comments (251)SueB that is a great poshmark find!I love that site. Jsk I flew by myself for the first time when I was six or seven, shipped off to an aunt for a few weeks in summer before I started going to sleepaway camp. I was dressed to the nines for that flight — dress, hat, small pocketbook, gloves and white leather Mary Janes with turned down ankle socks. I was on my best behavior as one often is when dressed very nicely and I felt very pleased and grown up flying alone. I guess that whole experience was a template for me because I still endeavor to look as nice as I possibly can as a credit to the wonderful privilege of travel. I sometimes wonder if people would behave better on airplanes (and in general in public) if they didn’t wear pajamas and fuzzy houseshoes on board.🤔 FWIW though I do understand the whole comfy athleisure dress on a plane even though I go in the opposite direction....See MoreWhat are you reading? Comments (68)Just finished & enjoyed this read ”The Dark Wives” Anne Cleeves. This is a Vera Stanhope novel from the series. It’s the basis for the PBS series ”Vera”. She is a frumpy looking & clever woman Detective Inspector in UK. I picked up this book because I enjoy the TV series. I enjoyed the book because the actor who plays Vera represents the book version of Vera extremely well & I used her as a visual while reading. I wasn’t any more successful at figuring out ’whodunnit’ before the end of the book than I ever am while watching the TV show....See MoreRelated Professionals
