new: april fotess swap - what was i thinking?
Comments (150)Starting to feel a little overwhelmed. I have a shower for my daughter coming up May 6th and then the wedding 5 weeks later. My daughter who is away at college is suffering from an impacted tooth and is scheduled to have her wisdom teeth removed next Thursday. This will be where she is going to school which is 2 hours from here. I should be there with her but I can't get the day off at our little gift shop. Not enough people for coverage and it is a plant delivery day. My son is having some enemia issues and is 18. Now he needs an MRI on some lower abdominal swelling and then will have to see a GI doctor. My second son (have 5 kids) just got a job in Dallas, Texas and he and his wife will be moving there as soon as there house sells in South Carolina. The darn wet and cold weather isn't helping either. I have a plant swap I have to get done. The old "when it rains, it pours". I have enjoyed this swap immensely. Thank you Shirley for such a great time. Loved this idea and hope we do it again sometime. Margo...See MoreAPRIL Fotess SPRING CLEANING
Comments (227)Your welcome!! Prizes - As you can see, Melinda got her prize for first place (it was looking obvious she was going to win). Thanks for all the pictures Melinda, they help keep the month interesting for everyone! Runner-up prizes to Emily (2nd place Thank you for sharing so many photos too!) and to Beth who got the 6 points for keeping (mostly) to this month's swap (one set of towels, two packets of seeds, card - there was an extra of a chocolate bar - but she was closest to the simple swap guidelines). Susan - your package shows out for delivery. Hope you're not disappointed as I keep to the simple swap and only send listed items (I do put it on my profile so folks know that about me!). Thanks for sharing about the vinegar. I have a pressure washer that's clogged - I'll try that! Looked at the split cupped and double narcissus at Van Engelen https://www.vanengelen.com/flower-bulbs-index/narcissi/split-cup.html and https://www.vanengelen.com/flower-bulbs-index/narcissi/double.html and didn't see yours. The American Daffodil Society has a DAFFSEEK link to photo database if you feel like trolling about there https://daffodilusa.org. Heidi - beautiful tulips and that phlox is going to be gorgeous when it fills in! TODAY is National Honesty Day (so honestly, I have too much stuff!!!) http://holidayinsights.com/moreholidays/April/honestyday.htm...See MoreFOTESS – JUNE “The Best and All the Rest” Share and Swap
Comments (147)so sorry jeanne and ruth. i totally dropped the ball on the communication there. my apologies for the swap mix-up. i tried to mail the package out before leaving for my trip but my son forgot it in his car. he sent me a screenshot on friday morning from the post office as proof that he mailed it! im so glad you got it in no time. i made a commitment to myself that i would do all of the swaps this year but the time goes by so fast and ive had a hard time keeping track. its so embarassing. just got back from my nieces wedding reception. let me head over to July and see whats going on there....See MoreF.O.T.E.S.S .March Fun- St. Patrick’s Day Green Hooray!
Comments (86)Carol, it seems someone must be very close to winning so if you are able to do it, I would draw some more words and post them. Just my opinion. I did take a picture of the seeds that were left once I selected some and this is before I added the packs from me. I did a rough count and think there are about 75 packs of seeds. (When I first saw it I exaggerated by saying 200 --- the envelope was thick and jam packed.) Anyway, lots of seeds and a good variety. I wrote down what I removed and will post it when I have the list in hand. You'll also see the cute card that Shirley made for me. People were very generous in adding bonus packs. The package will be going in the mail tomorrow. I hope everyone has a good week....See MoreRelated Professionals
