Art behind plexiglass-lighting options?

last month

Hi. I have a 6’x7’ artwork which is encased and covered with plexiglass. It’s installed on a wall that has a two floor height ceiling. Placing lighting on the ceiling that shoots down may be tough because of how high the ceiling is. There’s a spotlight already installed on the ceiling across from it which could be directed down on it but I think it will glare if it even reaches it. Again because of the distance. Based on the configuration of this room, above or around the art seems to be the easiest option. It was pricey to install it so I would prefer an option that wouldn’t require taking it down.

Anyone have experience with lighting plexiglass covered art? Which is my best option to avoid glare?

I would try the existing spotlight to see how that works but the light is out and I’m trying to get some ideas before I have a lighting person come out.

Thanks for your advice!
