Furniture layout help needed

Husband said yes to new furniture in this room. I’ve attached a to-scale drawing of the room with dimensions. This is our kitchen/dining/family room. It’s a more casual space. Sometimes a little too casual, but that’s a battle for another day.
I rearrange this room often and it does many configurations nicely, but I’m looking for suggestions in case I’ve missed something.
If I get new furniture, I’m thinking sofa with a couple of recliners and coffee table/ottoman. That’s what everyone wants to do in here, lounge watching tv.
Four people live in this house with the youngest being 18.
Neither the paint or carpet will change. We love this color and when I proposed a different color, it was a hard no.

I have additional photos I’ll add in the comments (fingers crossed), including another couch I already own, that I’m wondering if I can bring that upstairs as my new couch and then add recliners.

Here is another view from the corner of the room and the couch I already open that I’m thinking I could move upstairs.
The couch is not quite 7 ft long.

I'd start by painting over the orange walls. Select a LINEN like color instead.

Using an existing linen colored sofa seems like a great start.

Select recliners that will not overwhelm the small space.

Maybe a leather L sectional with the short side or chaise on the window side of the room with the long back in front of the folding doors. Two chairs on the kitchen wall side. Maybe another chair opposite next to the chaise end by the FP. Side tables to fit. Coffee table with Poofs or small ottomans that fit under for the little ones to pull out and use for extra seating.

I am looking for decor and furniture layout ideas for the living room. We want to paint it in shades of a warm white. The trim is painted in SW Dover white. The living room faces the north east. We do not get much light. The size is 21x13. I would like to separate the space into 2 areas: one for the piano and a conversation area around the fireplace. But that is not final. My husband suggests to put an L-shaped sectional against one wall. Then place a television on a console table, against the wall that currently has the piano. I think the tv belongs in the basement :) We like the more contemporary style: couches with legs and not bulky. We plan to repaint the dining room and the rest of the house also. Ideas about window treatments are also needed. I like a non heavy look. I’d like to incorporate the orange stools and vases that are currently in the home into the decor. I'd pull the couch off of the wall, closer to the fireplace, then put the two bucket chairs on either side to make a conversation grouping around the fireplace. Then you can fill in the extra spaces with appropriate things like a desk or console behind the couch, Or if you're looking for new furniture, flanking the fireplace with couches and chairs at the end works, too. You just want to get the furniture away from the walls and into a functional conversational group in front of the fireplace. Try an image search on google with keywords, "large great room tall fireplace" -- I just did and the first few pictures had some great ideas.

So do you have a BBQ you need in this space . Where is the entry to the patio from the house , like which room is it in? IMo think of the outdoor just like a layout for the indisde. Your BBQ close as possible to the kitchen the eating area as close as possible also to the BBQ just like a kitchen DR combo. The seating space think of it as the LR I find that works best . As for the amont of furniture that really is decided by how much you entertain and how many usually .

I'd move the seating back further away from the TV a few feet. Block the walkway on that end of the island. It would be worth it to walk a few extra steps around.

Yes, paint orange walls the same color as the rest of the room. How many people use the room daily and how many guests do you want to accommodate?

Daily it’s three of us right now. We have a child that is grown living away from home until later this year.
Often it’s up to 10, but that’s not often.

Yes. It is a no. I know white and gray is all the rage, but we really love this color and the cozy it gives this room.
I chose this color on purpose because orange is my husband’s favorite color and although most wouldn’t think to incorporate a husband’s favorite color, I do because I think it’s endearing and I’ve always been drawn to the warm colors.
The other end of the room is actuality painted a linen color. A recent change from Beachcomber that it used to be painted, but we kept the orange in this end of the room because we like it so much.
I am really just looking for arrangement help and furniture scale so that when I go looking for furniture I’m not buying something out of scale for the room.
