Best possible anti-skid rug pad? (if any)

last month

Greetings all!

I have two rugs (sisal on hardwood, and seagrass on stained concrete) whose rubber anti-skid backing has decayed, and both rugs now slide to a dangerous extent. I could try to get similar replacements with a rubber backing that will decay in 2 or 3 yrs, but I could also get an anti-skid pad for the rugs. The problem is that when I addressed this issue a year or so ago, and I got pads that adamantly promised to be anti-skid, I found that I was lied to and in fact the pads were decidedly pro-skid.

So I find myself in the familiar position of looking for a "miracle product," in this instance an anti-skid underlayment material that really works. Can anyone recommend such a "miracle product"? I saw a product called "Gorilla Grip" but it looks suspiciously like the pads I got last time. It is entirely possible that the scientists have, as of yet, failed to come up with the anti-skid miracle product I seek, but if they have come up with such a product, thanks for letting me know about it!
