Color stain for glulam beam?

What color stain would work best on a Pine glulam beam in living room with white oak flooring and walnut fireplace mantle?

You really do not stain gluelam. The clue to that is in the word Glue. Glue doesn't take stain, and trying to stain it will just make it look splotchy and ugly.

Thank you @Monique! I have a left over piece and was going to experiment on it. What is the typical treatment then? Or just clean up the pencil marks and leave it as-is?

Most people do not look up. You are fixated on how the beam looks, so you think everyone will be looking at it. The reason glulam beams are used is because it's expensive to find long pieces of beam lumber. Cladding this beam may require Scarfed Joints. I agree that cladding is likely to add significant cost. Maybe not break the bank costs, but additional costs for something only you are concerned about. Live with it for a while. Don't point out the beam to everyone who visits. If the look is truly bad, someone will say something. You can always have the beam clad later.

IMO you will need to cover it with some actual wood if stain is the plan and then IMO it will depend on the wood you use you could match the floors or the mantel either will work or drywall and apint to make it not a feature.

There is no glue on the surface of the beam to inhibit stain absorption with the exception of the lamination lines which are microscopic. Staining the knots could be problematic.
