Individual serving coffee maker
Comments (20)Karen, we've got to have one or two high tech time savers to give us more time to do everything else stone age style! One of our best big-city type toys is the Zojirushi induction rice maker. We usually keep about a dozen types of rices on hand and dinner is often fresh garden veg over rice. Zoey the rice cooker can handle all of the different types and has top notch delayed start and keep warm features. It takes about 30 seconds to put on the rice and then it will be ready whenever we finally finish up with outdoor work. But aside from the two Zoeys your picture of our lifestyle is still accurate. Your pal Buster the goat is on the porch peeking in the kitchen window and we're stocking up on worn out tires to set up some more tire gardens this year. Comments (24)I use 12 level tbsps of coffee plus about 1 1/2 more for our ten-cup Braun. I always offer guests added hot water if it's too strong, but no one has ever complained. We buy Don Francisco online or from the catalog; it's DH's favorite. Don't care for Starbucks; it tastes very harsh to me. We have a variety of D.F. flavors that we like. When they have a sale we occasionally spring for Kona. There is now a discussion about coffee brewed in French press coffee makers being bad for one's cholesterol. A Dutch study comparing filtered to unfiltered coffee indicated that this was the case. There's a fair amount online about this question. I just googled 'french press coffee cholesterol'. Very interesting information....See Moremiele coffee maker decision....

Comments (22)Glenda posted that a friend had given her one...remember. My husband and I participated in testing the home version when they were still in the making. We used it for a long time but I have several coffee makers and I think the keurig is overpriced and the kcups too expensive. My favorite pot is a 4 cup Mr.Coffee ...I use it almost every morning...it makes probably the best coffee of any maker I have ever had including my most expensive coffee maker and my expresso machine. I know this little 4 cup machine is just a lucky happening as they all probably don't make wonderful coffee...but I won't gripe and I've had it forever. I don't drink enough coffee any more to worry about the cost but I refuse to pay the price for kcups and the keurig coffee maker just because of the principal of it...I think it's a rip off....See MoreRelated Professionals
