Oh thanks! I posted these pics eariler today and the majority of webbers voted for the gray saying the white cabs and white backsplash with light granite would be too much white. My cabinet hardware will be polished nickel bin pulls - I found them at Home Depot(http://www.homedepot.com/webapp/catalog/servlet/Search?storeId=10051&langId=-1&catalogId=10053&keyword=martha+stuart%20hardware%20nickel&Ns=None&Ntpr=1&Ntpc=1&selectedCatgry=Search+All) and knobs - I just ordered them! Thanks for the feedback. Try the tile with your granite and see what you think.

(Big sigh), OK, hollysprings, that's what I was afraid of. A big thank you for the advice even if it wasn't what I wanted to hear. I'll probably just go with the standard library molding. However, KM does have an unglazed Biscotti. What if SW matched that and then I tried to match the glaze? Do you think I stand a chance of getting "close enough" since it's 7 ft. up and not right next to the original molding? The problem may be the white paint on the woven molding being purchased now affecting the color of the Biscotti paint. Also, the sheen on the factory molding may make my painted molding look different. I have a little time to practice on my sample molding left from the kitchen if I want to get adventurous.

Normally, apples for apples, Medallion will price out slightly more....not less than KraftMaid. The two doors you have picked out are not apples for apples. The Lindsey door is one of KraftMaid's most expensive doors. The Brookhill door is a basic raised panel door w/ matching 5pc drawer front. KraftMaid's equivalent to Brookhill is called Marquette. Have your KM salesperson also quote you Marquette. With a standard finish, the Brookhill will quote out just under KM. But with the premium glaze finishes, Medallion should be a little more. Factory incentives may also affect the price. KM usually has more discounts. Here's my input on quality: 1. Medallion has a slightly better finish than KraftMaid 2. Medallion has better quality control. 3. When you do a glaze finish with Medallion, it's a matte finish and is really nice! KM's will still have a standard semi-glossy sheen. Which is fine...but I really like the matte finish better. 4. Medallion has a higher upcharge for premium finishes 5. Integrated matching doorstyle end panels are SO much nicer with Medallion. I could post two pics on Tuesday if you're interested in seeing the difference. 6. Medallion offers custom height mods....if that's important. 7. Soft close drawers are standard on KM. An upcharge with Medallions middle line (Designer). Will add about $35 per drawer w/ Medallion. 8. I recommend that you upgrade the end panels to wood....whether you go with Med or KM. I would only upgrade the EXPOSED end panels to save $. 9. Medallion has one flaw that annoys me. They only offer 3 drawer box heights. So, some of their drawer boxes can be shorter than the actual opening in the framework. KM has taller sides of their pot/pan drawers. Overall....if all things were equal, I would go with Medallion over KM. Just a nicer looking/feeling cabinet. It looks more like a custom finish! Here is a photo of a maple Brookhill bathroom with one of the glazed finishes. Notice the integrated matching end panel on the wall cabinet??? I like how Medallion does them with corner mitre joints! You don't see a vertical 'seam' along the side of the end panel. This is nicer than how most factory high-end cabinets do this. Some competitors will argue it's not as stable....but we've never had issues with separation at all! . Both are having promotions right now. KM: 10% off. I'm headed to Benjamin Moore to try for a color match using their matching equipment. I have never loved a color matched paint before... but there seems to be no choice in the matter. I am told the rules are that you MUST match the trim to the cabinets... and I dare not accidentally introduce some new/different undertones OR ELSE! I anticipated choosing white wall and trim paint would be easy - HA! Nope. Apparently, there are six thousand white paint colors. And the rules of engagement are TIGHT. I'm sitting here with a sample piece of cabinet and four color decks from BM and SW. None of the whites look like a match. And, sorry to say, the Pure White by SW mentioned above? It looks especially mismatched to Kraftmaid Dove White. I wish Kraftmaid would either let their color formula out or provide healthier paint options. My Kraftmaid cabinet doors all came smelling like fresh spraypaint and needed to be remediated with a hydroxyl generator before they stopped making my VOC meter sing! KM certainly needs to step up their supposed "twice oven cured" process. Anyhow, it was terrible, and I want nothing to do with bringing a fresh Kraftmaid gallon of nightmares in to our home. I want matching trim, not the VOC levels of a meth lab.
