HELP ME: Which aesthetic is best with my finishes?

last month
last modified: last month

I was set on purchasing a Zephyr or VAH insert for a custom range hood with a simple design (farmhouse or slightly tapered hood) finished with Venetian plaster.

However, I just returned from our local appliance store and found that I can purchase a Wolf VW365 for under $600 plus the cost of a blower. This unit normally costs about $1,900 but is a closeout floor model.

While I love the look of simply finished hoods, the attraction of the low profile design of the Wolf, the ease of cleaning stainless steel vs. plaster, and the Wolf name have me rethinking my plan.

The one negative is that this hood is 36" wide and my 36" Bosch cooktop is actually 37" wide. Would the difference even be noticed? (Maybe typical?)

To see my finishes, you can view this post or view them in one of my idea books BenjiBoi Kitchen Finishes.

What would you do?
