Paint Remodeling Kitchens

looking for a cabinet color

This is what my current kitchen looks like. I’m planning to add the Taj Mahal quartzite to the island ( waterfall) and countertops/ backsplash.
I’m leaning towards a warmer kitchen so thinking beige/ taupe cabinets.
I’ll be putting in brushed brass/gold hardware.
The flooring will stay.

Any suggestions on what color cabinets would go well with this combination ?

This is not what you're asking, so I apologize if I am sidetracking your thread here.

Are you planning to waterfall both ends of the island counter? Or are you planning to waterfall just the end near the range?

If you're only doing the end near the range, I would recommend that you re-consider that part of your plan. The point of a waterfall is to be seen, and it just wouldn't be seen on the end by the range.

You should select your paint for the cabinets after you finalize the selection for your counters. That way you can select something that goes well with YOUR slab.

I agree with above. Get your countertops installed before you decide about paint. I am afraid, its going to be a bit boring with with beige or taupe. You may decide that the white you have is perfect for your new look.

I just wanted to point out that the birch or beech will darken over time. WE did our last kitchen in the Ikea Nexus Birch (I don't know if they make it any more.) It was a great kitchen, very light and sunny... we loved it! But the original very pale tan birch did darken and yellow significantly by the time we sold it. It was still pretty... just different.... By the way all the buyers who looked at our house (young couples, mostly) loved the kitchen, for wahtever that's worth. But they were all young, sort of hip, couples. So I guess think about your target market if resale is an issue. Wow. Such great ideas! Love the tiles from sonoma. I am really embracing the idea of blues now, especially the delft. My everyday dishes are blue and white. After looking through a few of my inspiration magazines and photos from when I started all this, the ceramic and blue seems to fit right in with my overall long-term decor theme. I found something blue to put there to help me visualize how well it works, and I think it does! You guys are brilliant! So, IÂm thinking maybe some dark brownish/red field tiles along the inner sides of the cabinets and as a background surrounding perhaps a rectangular insert of blue and cream patterned tiles like in some of boxerpupsÂ images above. What do you think? Or would that be too contrasty? I wish I were better at photoshop. Also, what about adding wood corbels under the 2 side cabs? Would that help anchor the hood or just look silly?

I found two sources for the look. Mine are Mockett SS. The other source is Linnea. Mockett was considerably less expensive. We are super happy with the choice. They come with 1" SS screws, but we needed longer ones for the drawers because there was the drawer box wood and the the drawer front - so much thicker. So if you order, specify longer screws if you will need them. The doors were fine. The screws are SS and metric, so kinda pricey if you have to buy them yourself.

Pick your slabs, as Taj can be creamy, tan, gray, green, or a combo of all of the above. Once you have your slabs picked, then you can decide what color compliments it.

That traditional kitchen will just look really weird and silly with any attempt at waterfalls or a full height splash. Gramma doesn't look cool in Kendrick Lamar's flare bottoms, even if she once wore the bellbottoms long ago. Save your money.

Why are you replacing that with something that is very very similar to it? There's no point in spending 40K on new counters in that kitchen. Not unless you change everything else in the kitchen first.
