Well, I realise that the signal would be subpar, but it doesn't really matter much to me. I got the set for free, and saw that it didn't have RCA inputs...which wouldn't have been a problem but for that I had intended to plug my old game systems into it (via a switchbox), i'd meant for it to only have the N64,Dreamcast and SNES plugged into it. Plus, I'm naturally curious and wanted to know if it could be done (wiring my own RCA inputs directly onto the board of the tv set). So, there you have it...

I really like it, especially with your very 'airy' plant. All 3 objects give one the feeling of 'floating'. Like magic! It makes the oversized electronic, look like it's in a home setting. Very nicely done. Couldn't be any nicer. Now, look for all those with the giant 'entertainment with a bridge' armoires or wall shelving be putting them up on resale websites, so they can lighten the load in their tv rooms... LOL

we went white. yeah there is a black tv on top but the white really is fresh looking. and seems less of a dust magnet, no idea why that is... dust shows but you can clean it off, not just smear it around as always seems the way on black surfaces.

You can hide wires, or probably snake cables through to get them where you want them, or get wireless system in total. If I am reading the drawing correctly, this room is only 11'-5" wide? So, I don't think that is sufficient space for putting walkway behind the sofa. Sofas are typically at least 36" deep and consoles are 16-18" deep. You need at least 7' from TV for viewing probably further is better depending on size of TV and you need 3' for a walkway. 3+3+4+1.5, means tight. I would put the TV on the opposite wall. You will have some traffic, but I wouldn't let that be my limiting factor. The lines of sight to the TV would be much better with the TV on the opposite wall. So, think about it. You could put boxes up in the configurations (i.e. simulate sofa and tv console in each configuration) and see how it feels from a volume and traffic point of view. I would definitely go for TV on the opposite wall. More room for coffee table and a couple of extra chairs. That might help you decide.
