The seaberry blooms require a close look but once you know what to look for the male and female blooms are very obvious. If all your plants have blooms that look like tiny green worms, they are all female. Male blooms look like tiny coin purses, they open up like a clam shell to release pollen. I had 10 seedling plants from Oregon Exotics in 1992. For 4 years the whole group produced only a few berries. There is no shortcut: Buy a known male pollinator or try to get very lucky. I just harvested 30 pounds of fruit from 2 named cultivar plants, I have sawed them all down to stumps for removal. Next year I will start with newer varieties. The juice in the freezer will tide me over for the next 2 or 3 years.

Hi aduncan Thank you checking with me! I had a deadline for yesterday and didn't cehck the boards. I haven't signed up for notifciations too. I happened to check the boards and saw this in the first few pages. The information which you guys gave me was very useful. The installer also suggested the same thing and a IR repeater/finder so that we could use a remote in front of the TV while the setup will be hidden on the other side of the TV in the office room. We don't have a closet close by and he gave this suggestion which I liked. He suggested to add ethernet jacks in a couple of places in the house and gave me suggestions for a speaker bar to be placed on top of the TV. He said that it will be thin so I don't have to worry about the looks. He suggested using a sling box to view the video content from the DVR. But that could be used for viewing the content only on a computer not on a tv. I could go to the route of satellite connection with multiple DVRs for that. All in all, it was a great meeting. He hasn't given me the quotes yet though! I can decide what I want then.

Great space - love the brick feature wall! I assume you plan to use it as your family/living space. Depending on the look you are going for, I might consider adding a nice slab of natural wood counter against the brick wall, below the arch opening with some swivel stools. It may help tie in the kitchen to the sitting area, rather than having guests/family sitting with their back to the kitchen -while you're prepping. Then use the back wall for leather furniture placement, similar to the furniture used in the staging. I like the lived in leather look, just like they have. Keep the TV where it is in photos, maybe add a piece like this for that spot. It's a modular system so you can customize to your space and TV, size, personal preferences, etc.. And maybe match the counter wood to the wood used in the furniture. I don't know why, (maybe it's the brick and masculine "lofty" vibe) but I also feel an animal print would look just awesome in the space. Maybe something like these for your counter stools could be a fun pop!

Is that a mirror on the wall or a window to another room? Sorry to ask, but I can't tell. If it's a mirror, then a small console table below it may be nice. These are probably too big, but just an idea of what to do. It looks like a nice place for a houseplant (maybe a low light one depending on how much sunlight comes in). Or you may want a small lamp to add some ambiance. I think it's nice to have a place to drop keys as you come in.
