Backsplash to match Viatera Minuet countertops?
I am looking for backsplash ideas to match Viatera Minuet quartz counters. The cabinets are painted Sherwin Williams Pure White. I am looking for a timeless and traditional style for my galley kitchen renovation and was originally thinking white subway tile but I think that isn’t going to work. The walls are painted Sherwin Williams Heron Plume. I would appreciate any help!

Comments (29)Fwiw, I just mixed faux-marble quartz (Lagoon) with a Carrera backsplash and at least in it's pre-grouted state, I'm really happy. It was hard for me to find a backsplash that worked well with the grey-ish tones of the Lagoon, mostly because my cabinets are painted taupe. Anything that "matched" the cabinets seemed too brownish for the counters. The Carrera blends the two perfectly. I think it also works because I wound up using a very small-scale herringbone pattern, so the patterns in the marble tiles are less pronounced. Fwiw, I don't see the calacutta tiles that the OP posted working with a greyish quartz that's similar to Lagoon, and I'd also be concerned about pattern overload with a subway tile. But having worried about the fake-next-to-real problem, I wanted to at least add my experience that it can be done. One of the prettiest kitchens on here, done by a pro, is GW user @kompy, who used a different marble subway with Lagoon counters, and it looks stunning....See MoreCountertop and backsplash

Comments (14)I’ve seen the Silestone Calacatta Gold in several “I hate my quartz” threads, and I agree. It’s not attractive installed. It looks like a child’s drawing of marble, lots of huge fake veins that never line up and look stripy. There’s an active thread on this right now, I believe. The Viatera Muse and Minuet I have heard less about, meaning there may be fewer complaint threads on them. They certainly look more subtle. maybe show more of the space. if the foot traffic is up and down this aisle as shown...[do you enter from both ends?] I'd pick a pattern tile..it will catch the eyes a little more...white .subway is just too uneventful visually for this space. there are many patterns..subtle or bold......intricate or simple.... colorful or pale shades...etc. A single solid color tile will work also.
shown....galley kitchens.....place something at the backsplash to 1. play up other elements 2. create interest that your side vision will catch .3 make your white kitchen a little more interesting.

• there are plenty of interesting white tiles.
•you could install a white in an interesting (unexpected) pattern (examples below)
