So what do you store in your corner cabinet?
Comments (8)We have 2 susan cabinets. I keep all of the stuff that wouldn't fit elsewhere--sodas, bottles of juices, larger tupperwares and disposable plastics (rarely use either but I like to have them around), salad spinner, lunch boxes and snack bags. Around the edges of the cabinet I keep cutting boards on end. We have super susans and there is a little space between the turntable and the shelf below--I slip extra pans for the toaster oven and an extra turntable for the mw in the slot since they are closer to the susan than the divided tray cabinet....See MoreWhat do you store in smaller upper cabinets?
Comments (13)Future kitchen will have 18" stacked uppers on top of 36" cabs. I do not have a lot of space but I can go up. In the new kitchen an already in place small hall closet/pantry next to kitchen will be put to better use. A lot of the items from pantry closet and little used items clogging my space will be moved up to the 18" stacked, such as, Hurricane cooking supplies like portable propane burners & more, also, extra vases, patio serving stuff, party glassware, little used sm electric fryer and many other used but little used items that I need. My above frig cab in new kitchen will be deeper and things that are little used, but more often used than the stuff in the 18" cabs will go there as well as the above range cab. Most often used items will all be housed in conveniently reachable cabs, drawers or susan. Spices will be in two six" pulloutsÂcant wait for that as the only place for them now is in the susan which I at first loved and now hate because it takes forever to find what I want. So, pretty much IÂm working my way down in an order of use except the pull-out spice cabs will go on the 36" wall run do to my back not liking to bend and not enough room for extra drawer base....See More"Blind" corner in upper wall cabinet - what do you keep in it??
Comments (7)In the last kitchen that I had a blind corner upper, that's where the giveaway vases went. I tend to buy them at thrift stores and garage sales, and when I have an event that dictates that I cut flowers for it, I grabbed one out of there to give to the recipient and no one ever needed to worry about returning it to me. My laundry room cabinet serves that purpose now that the blind corner is gone....See MoreWhat kind of glass do you have in your upper cabinets? Pics?
Comments (10)Our goal was not showing off stuff. Italian Double Satin Fibers--very subtle close up; we needed something to break up the amount of oak in the room, but didn't want it to be a strong design. If I had turned the patterned mugs, etc. a bit before snapping photo, you wouldn't see a lot, just the presence of the dishes. Color of item is a bigger issue than item shape when looking through a partially obscure glass if you want to NOT see stuff in cupboards, I think. I would probably choose a less expensive option if doing it again, but my #2 runner up "Dissymetry" seemed to have too much pattern when I was planning. It's one of a number of "sale" patterns at Art Glass Cabinets. Try this thread, one of many. There are other threads if you rummage around on GW Kitchens also, with more images of cabinet glass kitchens. Here is a link that might be useful: One previous thread about cabinet glass (with links)...See MoreRelated Professionals
