Whose plan/drawing are landscapers following? ... just whatever they're making up for the project? You need to ask them how they're going to do this and ask for details until you understand it. Then, if you want to know if it's a reasonable way to do it, you can ask that, explaining to us how they will do it. Since there are more than a single way to do things, it wouldn't make sense for us to second-guess how your landscapers are going to build a step project for you.

I wonder where you would put this in your home. Not the dining room I hope. I have a reproduction oil painting from China, and have ordered two more, but it's darling dogs and two lovely 18th century girls, which are a little easier to integrate into my decorative scheme. However, I do admire the skill that goes into creating something as complex as the painting above.

At least some! Perhaps a blower so that the BTU's actually come into the space v. traveling up the front? Or, perhaps tell us that this is for decoration only and suggest alternatives...like the heaters we eliminated in favor of the fireplace? These heaters seem to work in an open air environment; why not a fireplace? I am obviously not a thermal expert but I appreciate your comments. Thank you.

I've never been to Santa Monica location, kharten, I even thought it's their more recent one. I believe Pasadena is the oldest, I've also been to Costa Mesa store, that they also opened later so it seems. Pasadena is great. I recommend making an appointment ahead of a time, they get very busy. I was lucky to meet the owner-she was one of the most impressive people I met during our remodel. She moves between stores I think. we didn't make an appointment with her, it just that they were behind, and she came to take care of us. We got lucky. We didn't buy any tile from them btw-too expensive..but we had such a great impression we later bought our countertops through them. We kinda felt indebted lol. well and the had the color no one else carried, that too:) We did purchase our patio tile from Arto, that was in 2019. Great tile, and great service overall. They also try to make it cheaper for you. By the way if you have a GC or designer involved in the project mention it in Mission Tile West, they give 30% discount on tile. Which in case of our selections still was cost-prohibitive:) There is also a great store in San Diego..if you're willing to drive that far. If yes-tell me, and I'll ask DH for the name of the store. strange how the name slipped my memory, I loved the store but hated the drive...:)
