Need advice on cabinet hardware and light fixtures for new build.

Please see image of the color selections. Middle of the image is our slim shaker cabinet color. We're looking for advice to find some cabinet hardware and pendant light fixtures to tie in with the rest, while mixing some metals. Faucet finish is not set in stone yet, can be altered. Thank you!

Your selections so far are fairly calm and neutral. Can you post the room layout and share more on where all these materials are going? What size is the island for example if that's where pendants would be? What color are appliances? What is your design style, and do you have any inspiration photos that you're going for?

Likely need to share much more detail to have pros chime in.

The first thing to go is the carpet, unless you tell me it is going in a bedroom, and even then ? Too GRAY.....and the flooring is going to read a bit gray as well. Over done, and rather OVER.

I'd consider a warmer deeper flooring, but you don't have and inspo picture and we don't know your locale.

We know the door/drawer style of the cabinetry....."slim shaker" ?

I suggest you look at Top Knobs.com.

Stay away from black. You need a nice slim pull in satin nickel or honey bronze........DEPENDING the inspo for your kitchen.

Even then, cabinet pulls are driven by drawer size, and kitchen design as well, so you have a buggy ahead of your HORSE: )

Most important If this is a spec build with a very moderate builder? Show the kitchen plan and the floor plan and pay an upgrade if that carpet is going in a "great room" off your kitchen....to a hard flooring. But maybe NOT that one unless you show an inspo: )

I think it is important to think of what "feeling" (i.e. cozy and warm, classy and clean, etc) that represents you and the home you want, and then to pick pieces (not randomly, but put together an idea board or a list) of things that represent that feeling to you, and that speak to who you (and your family) are. You will quickly probably sort out what speaks to you, and what does not. To me, it is senseless to worry about what is or is not "trendy". If you like something, you like it regardless of whether it is in or out of trend. If you don't, well, you sure don't want to pick it and live with something you don't like just as it is on trend. EVERYTHING comes and goes so just stick with what you love...you are almost guaranteed to be on trend again anyway when it comes back around - In fashion and interior design alike (look at the return of 80s clothing style not long ago, and the increased popularity of MCM style interior design. I love gold too, though for me I would prefer to introduce it in small pieces that can easily be changed or moved, like a gold thread in some throw pillows, or a gold framed mirror, a gold lamp, than necessarily faucets, or hardware that will be on my cabinets for a long time. If you love that light, then go for that light, it does not mean you need to do every other fixture in gold too. I do think, however mixing metals is fine (I do it on my body...indeed right now I am wearing a mix of platinum and yellow gold, so why not mix in my home?). Your preferences of course, may be different. P.S. you are brave letting your phone get down to 4%, I start looking for a charger long before that, ha ha.

Thank you so much everyone. This is so helpful! The window would be on the wall nearest to the outdoor stairs down. It is facing south to the backyard and woods behind the house. But after seeing Mark Bishak’s comment and photos I don’t think I have any room for a window. It looks like there will be a lost of wasted space because of all the corners I have.

You could do it w/a jigsaw. (borrow or rent one if you don't have one) These are some DIY links that will walk you through it. Grab a friend w/a bit more know-how if you don't think you can manage. Again....... we don't know your locale, but there is no denying that gray is taking a back seat to warmer tones after two decades of g.r.a.y. everything.

What does it tell you when Pottery Barn , a mass market source , and you see similar from RH......and colors look different than they have in eons?

Warmer neutral, greens are warm.....

Just saying be very careful on the gray. Post your inspo pics. : )
