Oh gosh, didnt you guys get me fired up lol. Oly, I have been lusting after that cabinet (and it's companion media cab) for years! I really want it in my LR.. so you hit my taste dead on. And I love the moroccan style.. but I think this little PR is too small. I fear it will look theme-y, especially next to a room that will be pretty simple in style. I know I brought up the moroccan pendant and I'd love to try it.. but I think that's as far as I'd want to go with the look. I hadnt thought about under-sink storage but I like the idea. I had also thought of a skirt as Teacats suggested. I don't usually like the country skirt look, but have a bunch of linen voile that I could use.. and quite a few old shower curtains, duvet covers and curtains that could work. I'll definitely start looking at hardware and storage containers. The bathroom as you see it now was my g-mother's/g-father's. I won't likely keep so much on the counter. Jaysmom, you are so right about that era-- there's a lot of leeway, especially with lighting. I'll keep an eye out for a deal.

I found ebay to be the best option for bargains, but the other two places I shopped were School House Electric and Rejuvination. I purchased a few pieces from School House and they went out of their way to first find the cheapest way to ship them (I'd called NY but they have a NW Location so they processed it out of there) and they rushed the order because well I was in a hurry up and finish mode :) Rejuvination was my main non-antique source for lighting. I purchased several fixtures (repro) and love the quality, but I also purchased a few antique pieces. Here are a few in place... This one is hard to photograph because the room is so small...it's hanging from three chains but you can just see it. We found the IKEA one pictured (first one) to be worthless. It gave off no light. It is rated for too small a bulb I put two of them in our basement hall years ago. For our new guest room we decided we didn't want to go with such a BAM fixture it is what people noticed when coming into the room. I think there are times the fixture is part of the decor and make a statement but for us the guest room wasn't one of these places. We replaced the circa '70s builder's grade square glass cover with a frosted round one. Not a huge step up by any means, $6.00 at Menards..but it updated and can hold 60 watt bulbs.

Without measurements, information on the shape of sink, the fixture finish, the color of walls, etc, commenting on your choice is impossible. Just as a general observation, my answer would be no, It would look great, though, in an outside shower.
