What if you did a blind corner pullout instead of the 15" cabinet & super susan to the right of the range? (See link below) You could have the cabinet people make the cabinet front into a faux set of drawers to visually match the drawers on the left side of the range to get your symmetry. The door would be hinged on the right and open toward the sink wall. My Mom did this in almost the exact same scenario at the corner (- the faux drawer front) & it works great. Then you could also have a bigger spice pullout next to the sink. We have a large spice pullout (15" wide & 3 tiers) & it holds our salt, pepper, cooking oil, non-stick spray, flavorings, spices, sprinkles, etc. I don't think they called it a spice pullout though--maybe an undercounter pullout pantry? Ours does have a faux front with a drawer over cabinet look to make it symmetrical with the other side of the range. I would see about changing the exterior of the spice pullout to look like a cabinet vs. a column as there is no matching column on the other side of the sink which makes it look awkward & out of place to me. Unless you're going with a large D-shaped sink, I would be tempted to eliminate the cabinet on the end of the sink run, slide the DW down to the end & enlarge the sink to a 36" base that would allow for a very nice size double sink. 14x12 area for cabs and a ppliances? that's a good size. "alot of big drawers could be visually plain. " don't say that! lol! I plan on all drawers except sink base. my kit is only about 10 x11 tho. 12 x 11 including the back hall - that whole side of it is open to the back hallway. while at my sister's on Friday I looked around to see if she had a bunch of drawers together. She doesn't - but then she was sick during the build and her dh chose most everything. (he's the cook). She did show me 1 cab they had with the slide outs. It was a ONE door cab tho - it didn't seem to be that much of a problem. open ONE door, slide out 'drawer'; slide back in and shut the one door. he keeps pots / pans on those 2 drawer/shelves. It's still not something I'll put in. It's still 1 door to open that won't be there with a drawer. I have to make things as easy as possible for myself - to use and clean. here's a bank of drawers in my sister's kit; plain, flat panel fronts... like i want.

I measured EVERY.SINGLE.ITEM I planned on storing in the kitchen and have drawers where everything fits. I have drawers everywhere except under the sinks, garbage pullout and corners (which have Hafele Magic corner units). Nothing gets lost in the back of the cupboard, everything is easily accessible (we have full extension glides on all the drawers) and there is no unpacking the cupboard to look for what you need. The most important thing you need to do to make the right decision for you is to list what you already have, what you hope to buy soon and long term big item wants. Then look where everything will be stored. If you keep your kitchenaid mixer on the counter you will have different needs then someone who only wants it out when it's needed. Look at all your appliances like that...coffee machine, toaster, toaster oven etc. Now you'll have a better idea what's right for you.

List for Magic Corner 2 mechanism is 1530 to 1530, stores 1080 sq ins- don't put a drawer above it, not the best thing for feild install. A better choice is the Hafele Lemans units- list $870- stores either 884" or 1057 (the one that takes the same wall space as the MC 2- do NOT get the smallest one unless you have no choice) Easier to use with aging back, more flexible storage, can still have a drawer, can be feild installed easily. You have to watch the direction that they swing out if near a range. There is a limiter that can keep it from hitting a range if it must be placed there. An alternative are the Rev-A-Shelf half moon pullouts- Plastic ones list at $272, Wood 441. Again don't get the smallest, storage is less than Lemans but they pull out in a different direction. Lemans is my first choice for blinds BUT final determination is made based on door opening and direction of swing/clearanc, and storage requirements. I disagree that a super susan is the most efficient- depends on the layout. When doing a susan, if I'm doing either frameless or inset I always use a Suzi Q- which has a slightly higher sq in than typical pie cut super susan but is easier to use.(Suzi Q is NOT field install ever)
