Have a look at Restoration Hardware. I've used two of their cabinets and have been pleased with the quality. One is a surface mount white model that has been in our main bath for 5 years - looks like new with daily use. The other is a recessed polished nickel model. Very nice interior - all mirrored with glass shelves, and you can get them with lighting/outlet inside as well (expensive).

It's quite easy to cut a hole in a wood cabinet to add the receptacle; I had my contractor do that and he didn't complain. I'll link to one of my favorite bathroom threads. Our backsplash is the same as the counters -- Neolith. We will have one low, horizontal wall outlet on the other wall where the coffee maker/toaster will be plugged in. The wall where we are considering the plug mold has the range, fridge and a short run of counters. There won't be any appliances plugged in here permanently so no risk of hanging cords.

We had a wall of recessed cabinets custom-built by a cabinetmaker - I did not want the "tower" in the middle because I don't like how it takes up all the counter space. This is basically just a 5 or 6" deep cabinet that spans the entire wall. The contractor then made the rest of the wall (behind the backsplash and sinks) even with the cabinet so it seems like the cabinet is recessed into the wall even though it is really sitting on top of the original wall. I love it - we have so much space (and we have a ton of bathroom crap so I never thought I'd have extra room!) I will say that if I hadn't done this, I would probably have gone for tall recessed cabinets in the side walls and mirrors in front of the sinks -- kind of like the 2nd pic you posted.
