Thanks for all the info, I've been wondering about the name. The only time I saw a Fragrant Pink Mimosa in bloom, there wasn't any perceptible scent. It was in the far back section of the SABG (east end near the huisache trees bordering Fort Sam) in 2004. A year later in April I trekked back out there to get more photos, but the single specimen wasn't/isn't there anymore. I was an apartment dweller at the time so couldn't grow it myself. Now that I have a small new yard that's filling up quickly, I don't think I can make the commitment to starting one. I wonder if it would bloom in a 20 inch pot? Even without a pleasant scent (or with a generic mundane scent), I would still grow it because of the breathtaking flower color & shape for a month or so in spring. If I had room. Closeup compared to regular Pink Mimosa (bottom picture). I didn't tweak these primitive DSLR photos but the yellow tips actually look a lot more gold than in these raw pics. BTW I once saw Mary I. at the SABG spring sale 4 or 5 years ago. Her husband (I think) fixed the tag on a Passiflora incarnata that I bought. (It had been mixed up with P. foetida. Worked out fine.)

How about this... This is similar to one of my favorite homes, actually my first home and I loved it. It has influenced my opinion of every home since. It moves the dressing area vanity nearer to closet and out of the steamy and sometimes offensive bathroom. You can close off the pocket door between the bedroom and the dressing area to have a self contained area for getting dressed that isn't dressing in the bathroom that you just finished showering in. The vanity is actually larger than the one you currently have drawn in your bath but only has one sink since you have a second sink in the bathroom. You can obviously put in two or you can do a desk area if you prefer to sit. The bathroom vanity just serves as a hand washing station and storage for towels and other bath and shower staples. With this plan there really is no need for a second entrance to the closet, but you can stick one in if you want.

The curves in the walkway feel pinched to me. Can you move the outside bed line out some. Walk along the sidewalk area with another person side by side with some frenemy space between and see how close you are to the edge of walk.

I live a couple of miles from Colonial Williamsburg where you can see examples of brick and wood steps at the entry to homes. While brick steps do require some minimal maintenance, they have a much, much longer service life compared with wood steps, at least in our coastal Virginia climate. The footings for steps need to be placed on undisturbed soil with an appropriate bearing capacity or on compacted fill material installed to a depth which achieves the equivalent. For the first option, that will be a reinforced concrete pad at the same depth as the footings for the home's foundation.
