Am I breaking exterior color rules?

last month

I’m currently having 8 sliding doors replaced on my rear sunroom. In order to get door with lower thresholds that didn’t stick up as high on the interior (which was a trip hazard) the only neutral I could get was called sandstone. This is a greige color similar to Sherwin Williams Taupe Tone.

My trim color on my home is Sherwin Williams Madison Blanc and the main color of my sided areas are Sherwin Williams Evergreen Fog. There’s no visible siding on the front of my home, only brick, and Evergreen Fog is my entry door color.

I’m not crazy about the Evergreen Fog on my exterior sunroom main now being paired with this taupe greige of the new sliding doors. I am planning to get a new deck and stain it a similar color so the doors will have the decking reflecting the taupe on the sliding doors.

My contractor suggested adding quarter stock around the new doors and painting it Maison Blanc to add my trim color to the sunroom.

I want to know if it’s “design friendly” to have different colors for trim on a sunroom vs what’s on the main part of the house? Should I add this quarter round trim to give it the cream color pop? I always heard rear doors should be the color of the house trim for cohesion.
