Comments (77)Also, we've changed some things in our kitchen/breakfast room area so that color is going lighter. Currently it's SW Colonnade, but will be changing to SW Glacial Stream. It's a similar tone, but I want to go lighter. From the kitchen, there's an opening to an area where the garage door is on the left side and the powder room door is on the right side. Here's the Cheerful door to the garage. If you don't like it, please keep your comments to yourself. I like it a lot, but it's a bit brighter than I anticipated. Note to self to always do a sample, not just hold up a swatch. I will not repaint it. It looks good, just personal preference to the brightness. The gray is Colonnade, but changing to a smidge lighter gray....See MorePlease HELP! Want to make a cohesive and comfortable space!
Comments (10)I need a to scale floor plan and to be honest I never like a FR and a LR open to each other so I need a floor plan.IMO shelving works only if you have really nice stuff to display and fanmily photos are best usually in more private spaces like a nice disply down the hallway to the bedrooms for instance. Are there 2 FPs ? I need the floor plan since right now there is nothing sleek or contemporary that I see. A clean slate is what you need to show The LRs you have in your idea books are so far from what you have I need to see that space empty and you need to see if those posts are load bearing and what is the flooring ?You need a lot more lighting and all LEDs 4000k if you hope to get that clean , light contemporary look at all....See MoreHow do we make the furniture in our living room look more cohesive?
Comments (13)Thank you for the suggestions everyone-- this is my first time posting on this site. I appreciate the feedback. I didn't post the room because we currently live in an apartment and we don't plan to be here much longer, but I can definitely repost when I get home if that will help! As for the 60% rule suggestion, I am a total newbie and I truly do not know what would look best. Gray might be too sterile, white might be too clinical, and red may be too bold. There is a sage green in the rug that I think is pretty, but obviously none of my other furniture is that color. I feel like we have bungled this badly already....See MorePlease help make seating areas in LR cohesive—photos attached.
Comments (23)I have been trying to develop a accurate scale drawing, but I need more info. It’s clear, the scale of the sectional is too large for the space. It’s a common mistake. We need at least 3’ around rooms for walkways. So can you exchange sectional or do we have to work with it. Have you considered moving the dining set to along the stairway area and set up a reading/seating area behind the sectional with a couple blue chairs to take in view and utilize the chairs? I think that is worth a try. The dining table and chairs are too squished where they are now. I am putting rough layout together. Bbl...See MoreRelated Professionals
