Comments (26)Mike all of yours look terrific as usual, but W&S is stunning and that is an amazing Wolverine! HL worthy. I have asked you before……. What is your secret? Your hostas always look soooo good. Is there a particular soil additive you use or is it your compost? Ann, none of your pics are terrible! I’m with utog, I can find room in my garden for WBMW if you can’t! Lol Your Winsome is lovely and can’t wait for my Winter Snow to grow up like yours! Old_dirt you also have a beautiful Wolverine and Winter Warrior is a really pretty one. I love the leaf shape and colors. Saija, you have an awesome Warpaint! Such huge leaves! You also have a nice Wolverine. Ann, your Wheee, looks fine to me, but maybe pot for the summer and see if that helps it increase. Love the ark joke! That’s definitely me!! Lol Sandyslopes I love the color of your Waterslide and Wu-la-la is looking good. 👍🏽 Sherry, another really great Wolverine and World Up is a beauty! Newhostalady, your Warpaint is looking good now and very pretty W&S. I have seen so many nice ones that I may have to add that one to my collection. My Warwick Comet had trouble with burning too. I kept moving it to more shade. Utog, who would think to put WC in a pot with minis but you? I love it! 👍🏽 debra...See MoreHosta XYZ 2024 =^..^= =^..^= =^..^=
Comments (20)Thanks Ann. Yes YBDB does transition later in the season. Mine has never gone as dark as yours but different sun exposure could explain that. I was thinking Striptease like Debra but your pic this a.m. shows YPDB. Debra YB is lovely. What a great name in ZP and a very cute plant. Mike YR is a beauty. Paula your Zounds is terrific. You are a hoot. Beth I had never heard of Zonda before. It looks good. Another nice YR. Lisa great transition shots and another very nice YSR. joc nice to see you back. What a lovely ZDD....See MoreHosta Green 2024 ...... ......
Comments (12)Laurie..it seems to me that each hosta in their own setting does their own thing and has their own look lol.. I have lots of NOID greens..I'm thankful for every hosta that was here but in my opinion I've planted the prettiest special ones.. this would be interesting but I doubt if I ever accomplish it 😆..totals of greens, blues, golds, chartreuse, grn/wht etc in my garden.. maybe someday we can do a post and hear other's totals..for fun not a competition.. a few years ago after 1 case of HVX I inspected my hostas..decided why not count them..I had 504..I estimated clumps..I'd say that's at least 5, etc..if I counted clausa individually (don't remember what number I gave them) my 504 would be 1000!.....See MoreHostas with Margins ...........................2024
Comments (29)That toe looks so painful! They could have named it YYY? And I bet someone was so proud of themselves for remembering the apostrophe in I’ll. 😊 Ann, your daffodils emerging makes me happy! I’ll be looking for mine when the snow melts. Laurie and debra, you’ve jarred my memory. I think this little survivor might be Glad Rags. If it comes back, I hope to figure it out. For margins I like the crisp, white edges of Brentwood Blues. I’ve always liked Francee for that reason, too....See MoreRelated Professionals
