Final Touches in Dining Room
Comments (8)Lovely traditional style. Mine too. Yes, a rug would add some nice color but I have stayed away from one in the dining room becasue I don't like the way chair legs get "caught" on them. Personal issue. Have you considered more accent in the drapery fabric? And yes, coordinating the seat fabric with the drapes would be nice. We redecorated our Living and Dining rooms this past winter. I still have to make panels for the DR which will match the ones in the LR - it tooks weeks to get the fabric and now the weather is too nice for sewing. The chairs were reupolstered to keep the theme. I change a table runner with the seasons and the centerpiece more regularly. Sometimes fresh flowers, others times just a bowl. We like art but am careful that what is in the DR is tastful for dining. I had a large tapestry hanging in ours for many years. Photos of ours are linked from "My Page". Good luck....See MoreLiving Room Finishing Touches!
Comments (4)Draperies: Bring up the two chairs and place across from sofa. Opposite end, put the black chest under the wall art; move large arm chair and floor lamp to the right of it; to the left leave the black ladder and tuck the floor plant into the corner. Make sure the plant is in a container that is at least 1/4 the height of the plant wide....See Moreliving room mirror touching wall moulding
Comments (6)Make a cut out of the mirror dimensions and tape it to the wall. See if you like it. In general, it's better if things have some space around them, but there are exceptions such as for heirlooms or historical pieces that have pride of place. There may be a better place for this stylish mirror elsewhere in the house....See MoreHelp with final touches to my dining room
Comments (16)I like chandeleirs that light the table , since the table seems quite long I would use a linear fixture with the light lighting the table top. I need to see the chairs you choose Do you actaully have room for that table and chairs in that space . I think the stools will need to go form what I see. As for the neighbors get drapes unless you never want to get the light and view from that window again. Can youpost the size of the space and the size of the table....See MoreRelated Professionals
