Basement Bathroom Remodel: White, Navy, and Onyx Tile

The bathroom in the basement of my house was DIYed, badly. The plumbing was wrong, the tile was pasted directly to the concrete foundation, and it was just kind of ugly and dark. Before:

I really like the Agua Linda tiles. They look stunning in person.


I'm not a huge fan of the way the shower pan tile turned out. The online photos were much more blue in tone, but the actual tiles are more gray and white. (EDIT: Apparently it's a known issue.. reviews are full of complaints. Home Depot offered to let me return the tiles for a refund! Awful).


In hindsight, I should have sized the vanity down a bit. The prior vanity was 42", but due to it's design, could be pushed flush to the wall. This one is 42.25", and it has to sit about an inch further out. What was a reasonably comfortable distance to the toilet is now a little cramped. My only other regret is not installing radiant heat in the floor. It's cold down there!
