Any geeky folk want to review my DISHWASHER manual?

We are in the midst of replacing an electric water heater Dishes have accumulated, so I put them in the dishwasher with only COLD well water available. I told DH (who is busy replacing the kaput water heater) that I think the free dishwasher (DW) that we got off craigslist 7 years ago (my find, blows on fingernail, brushes them on shoulder) has a heating element to heat the water.

I downloaded the manual, but couldn’t find where it stated the DW neated the water (our first DW did not).

I figured that dished washed at 50°F better tah a sink full of gently soiled plates and bowls.

To my surprise, the washer is going and a probe thermometer i serted in the pan reads ~ 108 deg F , now 122 deg F now.

I selected Heavy Duty and this cycle will likely engage the heating coil at the bottom of the DW to DRY the rinsed dishes. Sometimes they are too hot to handle when I try to remove the dishes after the DW finishes. With the old dkshwasher, we opted not to spend money on heat drying them. We just opened the door and the ambiant air worked to dry them.

So, the DW pan temp is now, mid cycle, about 122 - 130°F.However, I cannot find where it stages in the manual that the input water gets heated. Can any of you?
