Comments (3)I think the space would open up if you removed the wainscot. It is creating a "box" that stops the eye and says, "That's all, folks!" I agree with Suki Kabuki that the ladder shelves must go. They always remind me of college decor, along with milk crate shelves. Consider putting the TV on the wall where the ladder shelves are, floating the sofa facing it and moving the dining table near the window where you now have the TV area. I think you should eliminate one of rugs and only use one at the sofa. The two side tables by the TV are cluttering, but you might use the taller one by a sofa arm if it arrives within and inch of it, up or down. Get yourself sorted out with these issues and post new photos. We can go from there....See Moreworking on a living room, dinning room, bathroom and kitchen,

Comments (3)I would like to begin saying that I love the minimalist aesthetic you have. I’m a less is more person and I don’t like random artwork for the sake of filling walls. With that said, I’d like to see more color warmth on the walls. The buttery white is making it too stark. Have you considered painting? I would try the sectional against the buffet wall to free up the window, and add your teal accents into the window treatment. Eliminate the glass table or move it between the chairs. Add more unique floor lamp lighting near the couch. The buffet can then be moved to the kitchen wall....See MoreHow to divide a long hall into living room, dinning room&family room?
Comments (7)tv is on the wall in the area where the fan is, the long wall with no window. since you have a dining area in the kitchen I would treat the other area as part of the entry/ sitting area....See MoreRelated Professionals
