Same faucet for main sink and prep sink?
Comments (1)It would be very nice, but not necessary. I have two different faucets. Complimentary in design, and same in finish, but very different. Either way is lovely. Ivette vs....See MoreBar/Prep sink faucet for kitchen sink?
Comments (7)I have both the regular Delta Allora on our clean-up sink and the bar size on our prep sink. The standard size one is very big-- I was kind of shocked when I first saw it, but it does work with our scale. The bar size one is plenty big. But although the bar size one is probably more appropriate for smaller spaces, keep in mind that while it has a pull-down function, there is no spray option. If that makes a difference to you....See MorePrep / Bar Sink selection
Comments (7)I was originally going to go w/the Ticor S705 prep sink...it's 10-3/4" x 13". My KD discouraged me from going with it b/c it was less than 12" wide, telling me it wouldn't be easy to work in. I took her advice and looked around more. I found the sink I now have and really liked it b/c of the cut off corner...since our sink is partly in the peninsula I thought it would put the faucet & water a little farther away from those seated at the peninsula. Once I started working in my prep sink, I realized how right my KD was...and I now even go so far as to say that anything less than 15" would be too small! [Note: there's now a Ticor sink that's a little bit better...S805. It's 13" x 16-1/2" but I still think it's too narrow!] BTW...the seat next to the wall has become a computer station! My father and now DS have taken it over as "the" spot for their laptops! (My parents visit now & then and my dad spends a lot of time playing games on the computer! He's almost 80 years old...don't tell me anyone is too old for a computer! And, my 73 year old mom uses it even more and to do many more things than my father does!)...See Moreok to have prep sink faucet different finish to main faucet?
Comments (12)Oh, forgot to tell you...yes, I do like it. It's easy to use and when I'm filling a pot I leave the pot on the counter and just pull out the faucet head and hang it on the pot edge. I then let it fill...hands free! This is especially handy when I'm filling the 5-gallon bucket for the fish tank. Once that bucket is full, it's too heavy (for me) to lift it out of a sink and then over. It's so much easier to put the bucket on the counter, fill it, and then just ease it off the counter. I have a confession to make, I think I actually like the pull out functionality better than the pull down...I know, it flies in the face of the trend and opinions of most people here... Don't get me wrong, I really like my Vinnata and it works great for the Cleanup Sink; but for prepping, I find the pull out more useful and easier to use. I'm glad I have one of each...I have all the pros of each and those pros counteract the negatives of the other....See MoreRelated Professionals
