I rarely turn our TV(s) on and don't like to see them when not in use. Great room television is hidden behind custom sliding panels ( two go left, one right). DVD player, TV equipment, etc is in niche with shutter door. MBR TV is in an antique armoire that was in LR of our last home. It also holds sweaters and extra bedding. Main level guest room. Lower level guest room. We do have a large flat screen that is not enclosed in the lower level den. I don't have a photograph to share but it's on a pine chest. Because it is such a large area and the remainder of the room is very neutral I would suggest a gallery wall with perhaps one or two rows of art to the right of the TV, a row or two above the TV and then more art on the left, going down as far as is aesthetically pleasing. You can google TV with gallery wall to see what this might look like. Balance this with art on other walls in the room.

I have been browsing (it's my occupation lol) a lot and you know how that goes where there's always the next and the next and then I forget what I found. Thanks Bunny--- I started out ruling out the black and looking for wood, but I was concerned that the close but no cigar thing might apply, The wood is also of course hard to read sometimes in photos online so black is black and also there is expresso ? Just for starters I still cannot quite figure out if I just want a plain thing or a bit more. I figure I will just link a few and see what feedback I get because at this point I just can't think straight. for example one- LAMANTIA TV STAND this one might be too large? it is 26 high 59 wide 18 deep (also comes in light cherry) two- BRISTOL 26 high 49 wide by 19 deep threePOULSON 25 high by 53 wide by 16 deep thinking that the suggestion for a slightly taller one would be good but these are still lower. Just for food for thought. for comments-

We have open great room going on and like to watch from the kitchen and other areas too. So we have 75". On the sofa we're usually laying down so we need to look up more. This is what we have now that we brought from a prior house and repurposed, but its the wrong style. Do you think the gray RH would work there? It would take up most of that wall centered between the corner and the soffit. I could push the sofa back slightly towards the hall. And get rid of the bamboo tree.
