Powder room dilemma - do the vanity, toilet and faucet styles work

last month

I’m putting the pieces of the powder room together for its renovation. I’d like a shaker style vanity, and have found the faucet, cabinet hardware, wallpaper and paint colour for the vanity. It’s been difficult to source the vanity and the toilet. The issues: the space available for the toilet in depth is 27”. There is currently a round bowl toilet in the room and it seems that is the best bet for getting a toilet that will fit there, rather than an elongated toilet. A compact elongated toilet has been suggested but it is too deep for the space! The best I’ve found is the round bowl toilet in the mood boards I’ve uploaded - it’s just 7/8” deeper than the current toilet. (I know that there are more compact toilets but they are not available where I live).

The vanity has been a struggle too. The room is 40” wide and no ready made vanity is that width. I don’t want a smaller vanity - for maintenance issues. The current builder installed vanity fills the space. It’s been suggested that I get a 36” vanity without the counter and sink and my contractor would add filler at the sides and then a sink and countertop would be added. It’s been very difficult to find one that is shaker style, has the drawers that I want, a centred sink and a style that would work with adding filler at its side. I’ve only found two options. I’ve added mood boards of the two vanities, the toilet, the faucet and cabinet hardware. In the first the vanity style but am not confident that the faucet, vanity and toilet styles work together (the paint dob is the intended colour for the vanity).

The alternative vanity is shown in the second mood board. It has slimmer shaker rails and I think it is a more contemporary look. But perhaps it works better?
