This weekend the temperatures weren't too bad, but the big drop is coming. I have the Mustang on the battery tender. I wasn't sure how old is the battery in the Outback, and it is the original battery from what I determined. It's a 2021, so a little yikes. However, I ordered a battery tester from A and it tested fine both with voltage and cold crank. So, we'll see. We may also see a little bit more snow Tuesday night into Wednesday. But event the highs won't be above freezing. We will have to drip the faucets to preserve the pipes. Glad we have the new furnace.

Both of us are off for MLK day tomorrow. I have the Y booked. I went to the Y for weights today. Not sure what days will be Pilates this week. Of course, big trip on Friday! I need to get a haircut. I'm scheduled for Wed but I might ask to move it.

We have leftover Mexican food for tonight and I bought pork chops for tomorrow or else later in the week. Just trying to stay warm!

I had a very relaxing spa weekend with friends this weekend. We only left the resort once, for dinner. It was good timing, post holiday, and we have decided to try to make it an annual event. The place we stayed was about halfway between where two of us live and the other friend lives, only about an hour from home. I don’t know that it was great for my waistline but it was good for my nervous system! Actually I didn’t eat any junk, but restaurant meals and wine…you know.

Big snow coming tonight, tomorrow could be messy but I only have to walk about 15 feet from my bed to my gym.

Colorado/Black Forest is sub zero at night, snow flurries during the morning, getting maybe 2" a day. I'm suddenly going to McDonalds and getting iced vanilla coffee as a meal...and the caffeine is a pick-me-up after a 2hr gym workout, with soothing hot tub visits to end each session.

I went to a JCP clearance sale for a new bunch of clothes that will motivate me to flatten my stomach. Didn't break the bank. The styles were pretty timeless.

We renewed out passports, we were planning a trip....decided we just have too much going on here. Need to entertain ourselves locally. A few more restaurant trips, drive through snacks....more variety....will keep us going until we can get away. The antibiotics cured me of the flu. Funky.....I hope your getting better...stay warm everyone. ⛄

Hi all -- thanks for the well wishes and for keeping the thread going! I am feeling much better but still have no appetite and no energy. I just finished the antibiotic for the secondary sinus infection and thinking I may need another round. I'll see how I do tomorrow.

The snow hit us this morning-- the bitter cold starts crawling in tomorrow. I have no need to leave the house so just focused on work and rebuilding my energy. I havent even had any interest in shopping or surfing -- I thought maybe I could kick off by brainstorming some of my projects this weekend but nope. I just dont have the interest or ideas. Maybe next weekend.

Yes, Austin is this weekend and I believe 14 will be there on Sat.?? Temp ranges are all over the place, I have no idea what to pack.

Glad you are feeling better Funky but sorry it is still lingering. Thank goodness for WFH and grocery deliveries! Especially in this weather.

I have been enjoying cozying up at home, but I do usually travel in January if I can, and now I’m remembering why. It’s long and cold. Next year! We did plan a trip to warmer temps in early February, so at least something to look forward to.

All is still steady here. I’m not really exercising a lot, but I have been consistent on the weight lifting at least. And I am doing well with my dead hangs and attempted progress toward a pull up.
