Help Me Find My Drawer Pull (for less)
Comments (17)Your pulls look like window sash lifts so I looked in Van Dykes and sure enough there they are for $6.29. (AR-203799)They don't have Polished Nickel though. But maybe if you googled sash lifts you could find them elsewhere. Van Dyke's is a great source for all kinds of weird "old house" kind of stuff. I just ordered polished nickel caps for the bottom of some furniture legs. Here is a link that might be useful: van dykes restorers...See MoreHelp drawer pull emergency, May need to reorder
Comments (1)Two of the pulls we looked at were very similar to these but smaller, so if you get stuck or are unsure, you can check them out---Rejuvenation's Arched Mission Pull (4" ctc) and Offset Drawer Pull (3.5" ctc). Our local cabinet hardware shop also carried a very similar pull in the 3.5" ctc size but I don't know who makes it or where to get it other than there... Pull sizes seem to be pretty personal. Our Shaker-style drawers are 18" and 27" with 2.25" stiles (rails vary)---we used a single 3.5" ctc pull (4.125" total length). Longer pulls seemed too long on the 18" drawers. I'd play with them once you have the vanity and see how they look and feel---if they're wrong you can order different ones. You'll be using them a long time, so it's worth getting right, IMO. Good luck!...See MoreNeed help with cabinet hardware: Part A - length of drawer pulls
Comments (5)The rule of thumb is that the pull should be roughly 1/3 the width of the drawer/door. I do not agree that all pulls in a kitchen should be the same. I believe that the pull should be proportional to the drawer. I would do different pulls for your different drawers. However, because the ones you mentioned are only 6" different from each other, your pull manufacturer may have one size that is roughly 1/3 of both of them. The 16" for the 36" cabinets you mentioned is too long. Ideally, your 36" cabinets should have a 12" pull, and the 30" cabinets a 10" pull. See how close you can get to that with the model of pulls you've chosen. I always recommend that a person make templates out of aluminum foil duplicating the size pulls you are considering, and hold them up against the drawer/cabinet, It is a great tool for making up your mind....See MoreNeed help identifying this drawer pull made in England.
Comments (9)I just bought a couple of the same pulls from Habitat Restore. They are made by Richelieu. I would highly recommend Top Knobs over Richelieu. The design is identical but the quality is very different. The ridges on the Top Knobs pulls were deeper....See MoreRelated Professionals
