bypassing pocket door hardware

last month

I have a 30” door leading into bathroom that I would like to make a pocket door. Problem is that only one side of the opening can be reframed for a pocket door BUT it’s a couple of inches short of what is needed. In other words the wall I’m working with is only about 60” total, which is not enough room. Having a hinged door takes up too much room in an already small bathroom. I am not interested in barn doors or bifold doors. What I am looking for is hardware that would accommodate two 15” doors that ‘park’ side by side in the same wall. One door being a leading door, then I would think it would have some sort of catch on the top that when extended out the 15” it would grab the trailing door to then pull out the rest of the way. And same would happen in reverse, the leading door would push back and then grab the other door to recess back into wall side by side. I understand this would require a thicker door framing than my standard 2x4, we do have room for that. Any suggestions of what this would be called?
